  • Publication number: 20240369388
Abstract: An inconsistency detection system comprises a computer system and a sensor data analyzer. The sensor data analyzer is configured to receive sensor data from a sensor system monitoring a composite material manufacturing system manufacturing an unconsolidated composite material in real time. The sensor data analyzer is configured to determine whether an inconsistency that is out of tolerance is present in the sensor data received in real time using an inconsistency detector. The determination of whether the inconsistency that is out of tolerance is present is performed in real-time during manufacturing of the unconsolidated composite material. The sensor data analyzer is configured to perform a number of actions in real time in response to detecting the inconsistency that is out of tolerance in the sensor data.

  • Publication number: 20240370950
Abstract: Distributed energy resources (DERs) are remotely controlled devices that are connected to the electric grid and can affect the grid. The effect could be the result of consuming electricity, generating electricity, or storing electricity. Common examples of DERs include thermostats, electric vehicles (EVs), home batteries, and electric water heaters. DERs may be controlled to take advantage of multiple incentive programs offered by one or more incentive providers. The DER optimization may involve interacting with a carbon marketplace, a renewable energy credit marketplace, or both. A customer may provide preference data that indicates preferred and acceptable values for conditions of one or more DERs. Multiple incentives are combined into a single price signal. Based on the price signal and customer preference data, a schedule for energy consumption is generated. One or more DERs are controlled according to the generated schedule.

  • Publication number: 20240369153
Abstract: A valve includes a magnetic actuation mechanism providing torque-limiting capabilities and valve stem position indication. A drive shaft of the valve is surrounded by a first annular magnetic array within a fully sealed pressure vessel. A second annular magnetic array is positioned outside of the pressure vessel and surrounds the fully sealed pressure vessel. Each of the first annular magnetic array and the second annular magnetic array include magnets having alternating polarity, allowing the first annular magnetic array and the second annular magnetic array to form a first order coupling mechanism. When the second, outside annular magnetic array is rotated, the first annular magnetic array is caused to move, actuating the valve. Importantly, the valve includes a position indication system able to determine a position of the valve stem and includes an automatic feedback mechanism for comparing an actual position of the valve with an expected position of the valve.
