  • Publication number: 20240385958
Abstract: In some implementations, a memory apparatus may compress a physical page table associated with a logical-to-physical (L2P) table, to obtain a compressed version of the physical page table, wherein the physical page table is associated with logical block address (LBA) and physical address pairs, wherein the compressed version is associated with a set of groups of LBAs and an exception list, and wherein the compressed version includes an indication of physical addresses associated with respective starting LBAs included in the set of groups and includes sequentiality indications for respective groups from the set of groups. The memory apparatus may receive, from a host system, a command indicating an LBA that is associated with the physical page table. The memory apparatus may perform a lookup operation using the compressed version of the physical page table to identify a physical address associated with the LBA.

  • Publication number: 20240388685
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for streaming or playing back stereoscopic content are described. Camera dependent correction information is communicated to a playback device and applied in the playback device to compensate for distortions introduced by the lenses of individual cameras. By performing lens dependent distortion compensation in the playback device edges which might be lost if correction were performed prior to encoding are preserved. Distortion correction information maybe in the form of UV map correction information. The correction information may indicate changes to be made to information in a UV map, e.g., at rendering time, to compensate for distortions specific to an individual camera. Different sets of correction information maybe communicated and used for different cameras of a stereoscopic pair which provide images that are rendered using the same UV map. The communicated correction information is sometimes called a correction mesh since it is used to correct mesh related information.

  • Publication number: 20240385971
Abstract: A docking station operable in a plurality of modes is disclosed. An example method includes obtaining first data via a first interface of the docking station configured to couple the docking station to a computing device and second data via a second interface of the docking station configured to communicate with a network, responsive to operating in a first mode, obtaining third data via the second interface of the docking station, responsive to operating in a second mode, and selectively outputting the first and the second data, or the third data, to a display based on whether the docking station operates in the first or the second mode. The selectively outputting includes determining that the computing device is not coupled to the docking station, and in response, processing the third data by an application installed in a secure sandbox, and outputting the processed third data to the display.

  • Publication number: 20240382280
Abstract: A user input system for providing input to a robotic surgical system for use in commanding motion of the robotic manipulator utilizes a surgeon input tool configured to be worn or held by a user. The surgeon input tool includes a plurality of LEDs, each emitting at different blink frequency and duty cycle. Event-based cameras disposed around a surgeon console are used to capture user movement of the surgeon input tool. The system receives input from the event cameras in response to sensing of light from the LEDs on the surgeon input tool, and uses that information to estimated position and/or orientation of the surgeon input tool. Motion commands corresponding to desired movement of the surgical instrument by the robotic manipulator arm are generated based on the estimated position or pose.

  • Publication number: 20240388469
Abstract: Solutions are disclosed that enable capacity-aware local repair of tunnels in packet switched wide area networks (WANs). Traffic engineering agents on the routers are programmed to create the tunnels and include sets of primary and alternate tunnels sharing the same source and destination. A tunnel source router is provided a traffic split for allocating incoming traffic to its primary and alternate tunnels for when the primary tunnel is operating at or near full capacity operation, and another traffic split that shifts at least some traffic from the primary tunnel to the alternate tunnel, when the primary tunnel's capacity drops below a threshold. A tunnel may lose capacity for commonly-occurring reasons, such as a disturbance to cabling and faults in optical transceivers. Traffic engineering agents along the tunnel report capacity to the tunnel source router, permitting the network to respond to capacity changes more rapidly than waiting for network tunnel reconfiguration.

  • Publication number: 20240386349
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for managing access to remotely accessed software applications. In embodiments, such techniques may be performed by a service provider platform for software applications capable of being accessed by computing devices. The techniques may involve determining (e.g., based on a software bill of materials) components associated with the software applications, identifying a number of current security threats, and determining, based on the components and current security threats, a risk score associated with each of the software applications. The service provider platform may receive an indication of a level of risk for each of the computing devices in the organization, generate, based on the risk score associated with the software applications and the level of risk for each of the computing devices, policy data for each of the computing devices, and provide the policy data to at least one second computing device.

  • Publication number: 20240386375
Abstract: A radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag, or tag, is affixed to a particular item and stores unique identifying information about that item. It can be queried with a reader that transmits wireless signals to the tag and receive the tag's responses, which can be correlated with information in inventory records. Conventionally, when a reader stops receiving a tag's responses to these queries, the inventory records are updated to show that the tag and associated item have been removed from the inventory. But a tag can stop producing detectable response for other reasons, including being too close to other tags, so simply removing the tag and item can lead to inaccurate inventory records. Stateful inventory technology address this problem by maintaining and transitioning tags among different states, including a stale state for tags that have not been read recently, depending on when and where the tags were last read.

  • Publication number: 20240386271
Abstract: A system, apparatus, computer program product, and method use a convolutional neural network to auto-determine a first floor height (FFH) and a FFH elevation (FFE) of a building. The FFH, and FFE of the building are determined with respect to the terrain or surface of the parcel of land on which the building is located. In turn, by knowing the FFH and/or FFE of the building on the parcel, it is possible to use that information while performing a flood risk assessment to a property without requiring a personal inspection of the parcel by a human.
