  • Publication number: 20240209307
Abstract: One or more systems for automated preparation of a regenerative epidermal suspension comprises a base unit, a cartridge assembly containing a cup, and a tissue disaggregator. The system may also include related tools. The system executes one or more sequences wherein a first motor actuates the pestle against a tissue sample that is disposed along a screen within the cup while the tissue sample is in contact with, in sequence, an enzyme solution, a first buffer solution, and then a second buffer solution. To transition between fluidic contact stages or steps, the tissue disaggregator engages with and lifts the cup into a raised position within a processing area of the cartridge while a base plate motor rotates the appropriate well into alignment under the cup for each processing step. Once the sequence is complete, a user may draw up a regenerative epidermal suspension through an opening in the cartridge top cover.

  • Publication number: 20240212143
Abstract: Systems and methods for analyzing pathologies utilizing quantitative imaging are presented herein. Advantageously, the systems and methods of the present disclosure utilize a hierarchical analytics framework that identifies and quantify biological properties/analytes from imaging data and then identifies and characterizes one or more pathologies based on the quantified biological properties/analytes. This hierarchical approach of using imaging to examine underlying biology as an intermediary to assessing pathology provides many analytic and processing advantages over systems and methods that are configured to directly determine and characterize pathology from underlying imaging data.

  • Publication number: 20240208522
Abstract: Systems and methods for selectively transmitting alerts based on monitored behavior of a driver are disclosed. A system can calculate a driver score for a driver based on a set of driving events detected from sensor data captured while a vehicle was operated by the driver. Each of the set of driving events is associated with a driving behavior in a driving scenario. The driver score is further calculated based on historic driving event data. The system can assign the driver to a category of a number of categories based on the driver score. The system can determine that a change to a habitual driving behavior in a monitored driving scenario would result in reassignment of the driver to another category. The system can transmit an alert to the vehicle based upon a subsequent detection of a driving event that is associated with the monitored driving scenario.

  • Publication number: 20240210361
Abstract: A compact portable ultrasonic inspection apparatus and method of non-destructive inspection of an object. A probe of the apparatus has a stationary cavity frame assembly with an agile ultrasound stylus, being a transducer and an acoustic coupling member, located therein and on which a motion system induces random or controlled motion of the stylus, to pivot the transducer about a point where the coupling member contacts a surface to be inspected. Three landing elements surround the coupling member, configured to hold the frame assembly to the surface. A sequence of oblique angle ultrasound measurements collected at measured transducer orientations generate polar scans of backscattered acoustic energy from within the object and automatically derive geometric measurements and/or ascertain internal health-condition information about the object. The apparatus finds application in-situ non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection of anisotropic or composite materials used in safety-critical objects or structures.

Abstract: Aspects described herein may relate to techniques for detecting login activity to a financial account during a knowledge-based authentication process. The login activity may be related to access to an online interface for the financial account. The detection of login activity during the authentication process my indicate that the integrity of the authentication process is compromised as login access may provide an individual with transaction data that may be used to answer transaction-based authentication questions. As a result of detecting login activity, an alternative authentication process may be initiated or an authentication request related to the financial account may be denied.

  • Publication number: 20240212791
Abstract: The technology disclosed is directed to context-dependent base calling. The technology disclosed describes a system including memory storing k-mer-specific centroids for k-mers. The k-mer-specific centroids are learned by training a base calling pipeline to represent base calls of an already base called sequence in k-mer-specific time series, transform the k-mer-specific time series into predicted k-mer-specific centroids, merge the predicted k-mer-specific centroids on a sequencing cycle-by-sequencing cycle basis to generate predicted per-sequencing cycle intensity values, determine a training loss (e.g., a transformation loss) based on comparing the predicted per-sequencing cycle intensity values against known intensity values of the base calls, update the predicted k-mer-specific centroids based on the determined training loss, and store the updated centroids as the k-mer-specific centroids.
