  • Patent number: 12095546
Abstract: A network or system in which a hub or primary node may communicate with a plurality of leaf or secondary nodes. The hub node may operate or have a capacity greater than that of the leaf nodes. Accordingly, relatively inexpensive leaf nodes may be deployed to receive data carrying optical signals from, and supply data carrying optical signals to, the hub node. One or more connections may couple each leaf node to the hub node, whereby each connection may include one or more spans or segments of optical fibers, optical amplifiers, optical splitters/combiners, and optical add/drop multiplexer, for example. Optical subcarriers may be transmitted over such connections, each carrying a data stream. The subcarriers may be generated by a combination of a laser and a modulator, such that multiple lasers and modulators are not required, and costs may be reduced.

  • Patent number: 12092429
Abstract: A base station server of a combat simulation system includes, a communications interface, a processor and a memory. The memory has instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to receive an indication of a trigger pull from a weapon device and receive a data packet from the weapon device. The data packet may include an orientation of the weapon device and a position of the weapon device. The instructions further cause the processor to determine a position and an orientation of a target and identify a ballistic path of a simulated projectile fired from the weapon device. The ballistic path may be based at least in part on the orientation and the position of the weapon device. The instructions further cause the processor to determine a ballistic outcome by identifying whether the ballistic path intersects with the position of the target.

  • Patent number: 12095573
Abstract: Message faulting is an increasing problem in 5G and future 6G due to network crowding, receiver motion, signal fading at higher frequencies, and greater phase-noise sensitivity. Disclosed herein are methods for analyzing waveform features of the received signal using artificial intelligence, and identifying the likely faulted message elements according to correlations of those waveform features. For example, after demodulating, the receiver can identify a subset of message elements that are all demodulated according to the same modulation level, and can measure a signal parameter for each message element in the subset. The processor can then average the deviations in the subset, and compare those message elements to the average for the subset. If one of the message elements shows an anomalously large deviation from the average, that message element is likely faulted.

  • Patent number: 12092090
Abstract: An electrically operated displacement pump includes an electric motor having a stator and a rotor. The rotor is connected to the fluid displacement member to drive axial reciprocation of the fluid displacement member. A drive mechanism is disposed between and connected to each of the rotor and the fluid displacement member. The drive mechanism receives a rotational output from the rotor and provides a linear input to the fluid displacement member. A controller controls operation of the motor based on an operating state of the motor to control pumping by the displacement pump.

  • Patent number: 12095491
Abstract: Carrier aggregation (CA) may cause interference between operation on two or more carriers within a user equipment (UE). This interference can degrade signal quality on one or more of the carriers involved in the carrier aggregation, which may be referred to as “desensing” one or more carriers. One or more isolating buffers may be coupled at a down-conversion mixer at a point where the down-conversion mixer receives a signal from a transmission line for isolating the transmission line from other transmission lines. The isolating buffer may reduce the effect of interference between multiple transmission lines carrying different carriers during carrier aggregation (CA) operation. The isolating buffers may be used in an RF transceiver supporting both 5G sub-7 GHz and 5G mmWave wireless networks and carrier aggregation across sub-7 GHz and mmWave bands.

  • Patent number: 12096481
Abstract: The examples described herein provide for a Secondary Base Station (SeNB) Change procedure in a system configured to provide Dual Connectivity, where the SeNB Change procedure does not include the RACH procedure. As part of the SeNB Change procedure, a UE device generates a request that the Target Secondary base station (Target SeNB) is to send a Media Access Control (MAC) message to the UE device. In some examples, the request can be configured to specify a particular MAC Control Element that the Target SeNB should send in response to receiving the request. Upon receipt of the request, the Target SeNB transmits the requested MAC message to the UE device, along with TA information, if required. The UE device determines when the SeNB Change procedure has been completed, based at least partially on when the requested MAC message is received from the Target SeNB.

  • Patent number: 12096193
Abstract: Systems and methods of driving plate loudspeakers with different parameters based on frequency region in a way similar to typical cone driver crossover networks are described. These systems and methods may be implemented using arrays of independently controlled drivers which allow a designer to emphasize or de-emphasize certain modes in certain frequency bands. Tuning the characteristics of the plate's motion can also affect the acoustical properties in a larger space rather than just at a single location. The systems and methods described herein can grant a designer a degree of control over the characteristics and performance of the plate.
