  • Patent number: 11041420
Abstract: A combined power conversion and carbon capture and recycling subsystem including a fossil fueled oxidation unit, a physical adsorbent CO2 capture medium, rotor, motor, heater, CO2 compressor, diffuser and water storage tank. Exhaust gas from fossil fuel oxidation is scrubbed of CO2 via passage across a physical adsorbent and then released from the adsorbent via fuel oxidation waste heat. High CO2 concentration scrubber exhaust air is then compressed and fed to a diffuser which facilitates dissociation of the CO2 into water where it is temporarily stored for use in watering plants. Carbon from fossil fuel is recycled back into the environment and permanently stored as biomass by natural means of photosynthesis.

  • Publication number: 20210177223
Abstract: A nozzle having castellations provides high suction pressure while also allowing for large pieces of debris to pass through inlet openings. In more detail, a nozzle for a surface treatment/cleaning apparatus is disclosed herein. The nozzle provides a suction channel through which debris passes into a main body of the surface treatment apparatus. Castellations are provided along a leading edge of the nozzle to allow debris to pass through the leading edge to the suction channel, and into the main body during, for instance, forward and reverse strokes of the surface treatment apparatus. In an embodiment, the castellations further include receptacles/cavities to receive and securely hold wheels therein. The wheels may extend from the nozzle at a predefined angle, also referred to herein as a camber angle, to improve vacuum handling and reduce noise during operation.

  • Patent number: 11036661
Abstract: An interrupt signal is provided to a guest operating system executed using one or more processors of a plurality of processors. One or more bus connected modules are operationally connected with the plurality of processors via a bus and a bus attachment device. The bus attachment device receives an interrupt signal from one of the bus connected modules with an interrupt target ID identifying one of the processors assigned for use by the guest operating system as a target processor for handling the interrupt signal. The bus attachment device translates the received interrupt target ID to a logical processor ID of the target processor using a mapping table comprised by the bus attachment device and forwards the interrupt signal to the target processor for handling. The logical processor ID of the target processor is used to address the target processor directly.

  • Patent number: 11023398
Abstract: An interrupt signal is provided to a guest operating system. A bus attachment device receives an interrupt signal from a bus connected module with an interrupt target ID identifying a processor assigned for use by the guest operating system as a target processor for handling the interrupt signal. The bus attachment device checks whether the target processor is blocked from receiving interrupt signals using an interrupt blocking indicator provided by an interrupt table entry stored in a memory operationally connected with the bus attachment device. If the target processor unblocked, the bus attachment device forwards the interrupt signal to the target processor for handling. A translation of the interrupt target ID to a logical processor ID of the target processor is used to address the target processor directly.

  • Patent number: 11016127
Abstract: An apparatus and method measures and analyzes DC current passing through a substantially insulating member or dielectric material that is electrically connected to, or otherwise conductive, between an energized DC electrical transmission line and an Earth potential or ground. An apparatus may utilize a DC current measuring device, a DC voltage level selection switch, a DC display, a graphical display of momentary leakage current, and an audio speaker. A process may entail extending a substantially insulating member or dielectric material between an energized DC electrical transmission line and an Earth potential, detecting a DC momentary leakage current, using a DC momentary leakage current meter to measure DC current through the member or material, and a computer to analyze and compare the DC current, and deliver results or a warning that the DC current has reached a threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20210146761
Abstract: A tarp deploying apparatus includes radial arm with a proximal radial arm and a distal arm. The distal arm is formed from a flexible material such as a double-walled hydraulic hose. The distal arm attaches to a tarp roller to deploy the tarp over a storage area on a trailer with at least one rear door. The radial arm is mounted on a mounting bracket secured to one of the doors. A releasable connector between the arms permits the distal arm to be separated from the proximal arm so that the rear doors on the trailer can be opened and closed without interference from the radial arm.

  • Publication number: 20210131314
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes a plurality of heat exchange tubes arranged into a first row of tubes and a second row of tubes. A fixed mount fixedly positions the first row of tubes, and a movable mount makes the second row of tubes movable between an aligned position in which tubes in the second row are aligned with tubes in the first row, creating a linear flow path for the fluid through the tubes, and a non-aligned position in which tubes in the second row are not aligned with tubes in the first row, creating a curvilinear flow path for the fluid through the plurality of tubes. Heat is exchanged between the first fluid and a second fluid passing through the plurality of heat exchange tubes. The heat exchanger may be employed as an HRSG in a combined cycle plant, among other applications.

  • Patent number: 10934021
Abstract: A method for aligning and joining a first structure to a second structure in an aircraft is provided. A spacer system having a shape memory alloy is positioned in a gap between the first structure and the second structure. The shape memory alloy is initially in a cooled state. A temperature of the shape memory alloy is increased such that the shape memory alloy changes from the cooled shape to a heated shape to fill the gap and apply a load to hold the first structure in place relative to the second structure. Additional processes may then be performed to join the first structure to the second structure.
