Abstract: Various embodiments of a monolithic transceiver are described, which may be fabricated on a semiconductor substrate. The monolithic transceiver includes a coherent receiver module (CRM), a coherent transmitter module (CTM), and a local oscillation splitter to feed a local oscillation to the CRM and the CTM with a tunable power ratio. The monolithic transceiver provides tunable responsivity by employing avalanche photodiodes (APDs) for opto-electrical conversion. The monolithic transceiver also employs a polarization beam rotator-splitter (PBRS) and a polarization beam rotator-combiner (PBRC) for supporting modulation schemes including polarization multiplexed quadrature amplitude modulation (PM-QAM) and polarization multiplexed quadrature phase shift keying (PM-QPSK).

  • Publication number: 20210158860
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure are drawn to apparatuses and methods for analog row access tracking. A plurality of unit cells are provided, each of which contains one or more analog circuits used to track accesses to a portion of the wordlines of a memory device. When a wordline in the portion is accessed, the unit cell may update an accumulator voltage, for example by adding charge to a capacitor. A comparator circuit may determine when one or more accumulator voltages cross a threshold (e.g., a reference voltage). Responsive to the accumulator voltage crossing the threshold, an aggressor address may be loaded in a targeted refresh queue, or if the aggressor address is already in the queue, a priority flag associated with that address may be set. Aggressor addresses may be provided to have their victims refreshed in an order based on the number of set priority flags.

  • Patent number: 11016361
Abstract: Various embodiments of a monolithic electro-optical (E-O) modulator are described. The monolithic E-O modulator includes an active region comprising a plurality of p-n junction diodes, as well as a modulation electrode and a bias electrode that extend through the active region. The monolithic E-O modulator further includes a resistor-capacitor-bias-capacitor (RCBC) electrode structure configured to receive an electrical modulation signal, a direct-current (DC) bias voltage and a power supply voltage. Specifically, the RCBC electrode structure includes a resistor coupled to the modulation electrode and two capacitors each coupled to a respective end of the bias electrode. Beneficially, the RCBC electrode structure enables the p-n junction diodes to be biased independently from a DC level of the electrical modulation signal.

  • Publication number: 20210150521
Abstract: A blockchain-based privacy transaction computer-implemented method, medium, and system are disclosed. In one computer-implemented method, a first message sent by a first blockchain user of a blockchain is received by a node device of a trusted user of the blockchain. The trusted user is trusted by the first blockchain user and is determined by a trust setting transaction stored in a distributed database of the blockchain. The trust setting transaction includes identifiers of all trusted users associated with the first blockchain user, and the first message includes privacy-unprotected first data information. The privacy-unprotected first data information is converted by the node device into privacy-protected second data information. The privacy-unprotected first data information is stored in a local database of the node device of the trusted user. A second transaction including the privacy-protected second data information is sent by the node device to the blockchain.

  • Patent number: 10998010
Abstract: Systems and devices are provided for fully discharging leakage current generated during standby and/or power down modes regardless of variations in PVT conditions. An apparatus may include a power generation unit that powers components of the apparatus and a bleeder circuit. The bleeder circuit may include an operational amplifier. Further, the bleeder circuit may include leakage current generator circuitry that is coupled to the operational amplifier and generates a first current that mimics leakage current generated by the power generation unit. Furthermore, the bleeder circuit may include leakage current mirroring circuitry that is coupled to an output of the operational amplifier and that generates a second current that mirrors the first current. In addition, the bleeder circuit may also include leakage current bleeder circuitry that is coupled to the leakage current mirroring circuitry and that generates a third current that sinks the leakage current to ground.

  • Patent number: 10962811
Abstract: Various embodiments of a monolithic electro-optical (E-O) modulator are described, which may be fabricated on a silicon-on-insulator substrate. The monolithic E-O modulator includes an optical waveguide that allows an optical signal to propagate therein. The monolithic E-O modulator also includes a comb-shaped transmission line for conducting an electrical modulation signal that modulates the optical signal. The comb-shaped transmission line includes electrical conductors running in parallel with the optical waveguide. At least one of the conductors includes recesses or thin slots that form the conductor into a shape having a plurality of teeth, like a comb. The comb-shaped transmission line can be engineered to realize a close matching between a propagation velocity of the optical signal along the optical waveguide and a group velocity of the electrical modulation signal along the comb-shaped transmission line, which helps to achieve a high operating speed of the monolithic E-O modulator.

  • Patent number: 10897244
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are described for voltage dependent delay. An example apparatus includes an oscillator including a delay circuit that is configured to provide an oscillating output signal has a delay based on a delay of the delay circuit. The delay of the delay circuit is based on a voltage it receives. For example, the delay of the delay circuit increases for an increasing received voltage and decreases for a decreasing received voltage. As a result, the oscillating output signal provided by the oscillator is based on the received voltage. For example, a frequency of the oscillating output signal decreases for increasing received voltage and increases for decreasing received voltage. Described in another way, the frequency of the oscillating output signal is relatively low for relatively high received voltage and relatively high for relatively low received voltage.
