Abstract: Improved synthetic methods for the production of thaxtomin analogues, particularly thaxtomin A, and intermediates therefore such as substituted tryptophans and in particular, 4-nitro-L-tryptophan, and substituted phenyl acrylic acids are disclosed. Bioassays show that the synthetic thaxtomin A is not significantly different from the natural one in herbicidal activity.

A unified cache service stores all related documents; thus, all information of a web document is saved on the same server to easily merge all the related information of web documents when generating captions for that document. Abstract: One embodiment of the invention discloses a speaker box having a housing and a speaker accommodated in the housing. The speaker includes a sound radiation surface for generating sound. The housing includes a first and second output ports disposed at one side of the housing for transmitting the sound to outside of the speaker box. The housing includes a plurality of ribs disposed therein and forming a bending channel. The first and second output ports are disposed at two ends of the bending channel. The bending channel is divided into a front channel and a back channel by the speaker. The speaker box is capable of obtaining a better low frequency sound reproduction quality.

Abstract: A method for scheduling communication traffic in an Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture based equipment and a corresponding apparatus are provided. In the method, communication traffic information of traffic processing means in the equipment is collected; based on the collected communication traffic information, a traffic distribution rule for the traffic processing means in next time period is generated; and based on the generated traffic distribution rule, incoming communication traffic of the equipment is scheduled. The method of the invention considers the quality of service and contracted capacity of the whole equipment and the dynamic processing capability and running environment of the traffic processing means, and can balance the loads of the respective traffic processing means in the equipment with asymmetric multi-application configuration well by adaptively adjusting the distribution of the communication traffic, to guarantee the quality of service of the whole equipment.

Abstract: An embodiment radio frequency MicroElectroMechanical (RF-MEMS) tunable bandpass filter includes one or more tunable resonators, each of which includes an electrically reconfigurable capacitor bank, a tuning screw, and a resonating structure. In an embodiment, the capacitor bank includes fixed value capacitors and switches to vary the capacitance of the resonator. In an embodiment, the capacitor bank includes variable capacitors and direct current (DC) bias circuits to vary the capacitance of the resonator. The filter may be incorporated into a time division duplexing (TDD) base station or other wireless communications device.
