Abstract: A fuel cell system comprising a stack including at least one electricity generator for generating electric energy through a reaction between fuel and oxygen, a fuel supply unit for supplying the fuel to the electricity generator, and an oxygen supply unit for supplying the oxygen to the electricity generator is provided. The electricity generator includes a membrane-electrode assembly and separators which have a plurality of flow channels for passing fuel and oxygen and which are placed on both surfaces of the membrane-electrode assembly. The separators include a connecting portion with a straight part between rounded corners for coupling the flow channels at their ends. The connecting portion minimizes turbulence in the flow while maintaining sufficient effective area for contact between the fuel and oxygen with the active area of the membrane-electrode assembly.

Abstract: A fan duct includes an immovable cylinder and a movable cylinder. The movable cylinder is capable of sliding in an axial direction of the immovable cylinder. One of the immovable cylinder and the movable cylinder defines at least one groove in an axial direction thereof. Each groove defines at least two locating slots communicating with the respective groove. The other of the immovable cylinder and the movable cylinder forms at least one pin corresponding to the groove, the pin being capable of selectively sliding into any one of the locating slots. The communication method for a mobile station in which multiple interfaces complying with different communication standards are loaded includes obtaining an address that can be used for communication through every one of multiple interfaces based on information regarding a predetermined interface among the multiple interfaces; and performing communication through one of the multiple interfaces using the obtained address. The mobile station has no need to generate an IP address for each of the multiple stations.

Abstract: A retainer includes a retention module surrounding a heat sink and two clip members for cooperating with the retention module to retain the heat sink. Each clip member includes a strap resting on the heat sink and a pair of legs located at opposite ends of the strap and engagable with the retention module. In particular, a method of fabricating an optoelectronic integrated circuit chip is provided, in which an optical absorption layer of a wave-guide type optical detector is grown to be thicker than a collector layer of a hetero-junction bipolar transistor by using a selective area growth by metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) method, and the wave-guide type optical detector and the hetero-junction bipolar transistor are integrated as a single chip on a semi-insulated InP substrate, thereby readily realizing the wave-guide type optical detector improved in quantum efficiency and having the ultra-high speed characteristics.

Abstract: A broadband amplification apparatus for extending a bandwidth includes a first and a second amplifying unit for amplifying an input signal, a buffering unit and a first inductive buffer. The buffering unit disposed between the first and the second amplifying unit buffers an output signal of the first amplifying unit to thereby maintain a bandwidth of the output signal, increases a gain and returns back a portion of the buffered signal to the first amplifying unit. The first inductive buffer, which is connected to the buffer unit, enhances input impedance as a frequency increases within a predetermined range, thereby introducing little gain changes while serving to extend a bandwidth.

Abstract: A wireless local area network system capable of supporting host mobility services and an operation method therefor are disclosed. The wireless local area network system includes a gateway performing the functions of a home agent in mobile wireless communication environments and sending prefix information; and access points, each access point allocating an Internet Protocol (IP) address to a mobile host within a range thereof by using prefix information of the gateway. Thereafter, each access point produces and sends a Binding Update list that corresponds to the mobile hosts to the gateway. Thus, the present invention supports the mobility for mobile hosts with or without a mobile IPv6 stack, in a wireless local area network.

Abstract: A method of perceptual 3-dimensional (3D) shape description and a method and apparatus for searching a perceptual 3D graphics model database established using the description method are provided. The description method includes: generating nodes that respectively correspond to parts of a part-based representation of a 3D shape model, the nodes including unary attributes of the parts; generating edges that include relational attributes between the nodes; and generating an attributed relational graph of the 3D shape model that is comprised of the nodes and the edges. The search method includes: receiving a predetermined 3D graphics model; transforming the received 3D graphics model into a perceptual 3D shape descriptor; and comparing the perceptual 3D shape descriptor with each of the perceptual 3D graphics models stored in the database to retrieve the 3D graphic models that are similar to the perceptual 3D shape descriptor.
