  • Publication number: 20150089625
Abstract: A network access manager controls access to a network interface according to a set of access control instructions specifying permissible and impermissible addresses and domains on a network. The network access manager establishes a graylist of addresses based on a domain request that is associated with a whitelisted domain that is accessed via a blacklisted address. When a request to establish a connection is received directed to a graylisted address, the connection is permitted to establish and the connection is added to a session graylist. When a session data transfer packet is received, if the session corresponds to a session on the session graylist, the session data transfer packet is examined to determine if it matches a whitelisted domain, in which case the session is associated with a session whitelist and permitted access to the network. The access control instructions may be automatically updated from a trusted access control management system.

  • Patent number: 8988602
Abstract: A camera module includes a body having recesses in a first datum surface. A filleted edge may join the recesses to the first datum surface. An image sensor is coupled to the body at a known distance from the first datum surface. A movable lens mechanism includes a fixed portion and a movable portion. The fixed portion is coupled to the body. The movable portion includes a lens assembly and protrusions arranged to fit within the recesses in the first datum surface and to define a second datum surface. A resilient stop plate covers the recesses in the first datum surface with an elastic sheet material. A spring may hold the protrusions in contact with the resilient stop plate when the movable lens mechanism is unpowered. The resilient stop plate may include a rigid support plate coupled to the body by heat staking. The elastic sheet material may be viscoelastic.

  • Publication number: 20140358595
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for parking reservation that encourages car-pooling are provided in the illustrative embodiments. A processor, at a first mobile data processing system representing an automobile, receives an input to create a reservation for a parking location. A second mobile data processing system is detected, wherein the second mobile data processing system is within a threshold distance of the first mobile data processing system. A determination is made whether a movement of the second mobile data processing system relative to the first mobile data processing system is less than a threshold measure of the movement. Responsive to the determining being affirmative, a qualifier is applied to the reservation to obtain a benefit in the reservation, wherein the qualifier accrues a benefit to the reservation.

  • Patent number: 8832184
Abstract: Response delay associated with a state-based client-server application can be reduced with utilization of an application state server-side cache. A server caches data for a set of one or more possible states of a client-server application that may follow a current state of the application. The server rapidly responds to a client request with data that corresponds to an appropriate new state of the application in accordance with the application state server-side cache. The server determines that the application will transition to the appropriate new state from the current state of the application with the application state server-side cache based, at least in part, on an operation indicated by the client request.
