  • Publication number: 20100181210
Abstract: Methods and devices for point of care determination of heparin concentration in blood are described. Cartridges including protamine ion sensitive electrodes (ISEs) and reference electrodes and systems for automatically determining heparin concentration in the cartridges are provided. Some systems add blood to a protamine bolus sufficient to bind all heparin, leaving excess protamine. The excess protamine concentration can be determined by measuring the initial slope of the electrode potential rate of change, and comparing the slope to known protamine concentration slope values In some cartridges, an oscillating pressure source moves the blood-protamine mixture back and forth across the protamine ISE. Some systems also use a second blood sample having the heparin removed or degraded to create a blank reference sample. Protamine ISEs can include polyurethane polymer, DNNS ionophore, and NPOE plasticizer.

  • Publication number: 20100151841
Abstract: An apparatus, and an associated methodology, provides control over operation of a voice-only, cellular mobile phone by an enterprise. An enterprise server provides selection of the operating capabilities of the voice-only wireless device. Once selected, the wireless device is caused to be provisioned to operate in conformity with the selected policy. Rather than sole control of the operational capability of the wireless device by a network operator, i.e., carrier, control of some operational capabilities of the device is carried out directly by enterprise personnel.

  • Patent number: 7712544
Abstract: The forward folding tool bar for grain planters includes a main frame. Left and right pivot frames are pivotally attached to the main frame for pivotal movement about vertical axes. Wing assemblies are pivotally connected to the pivot frames for pivotal movement about horizontal fore and aft axes. A tongue assembly includes a rear tube fixed to the main frame. A forward tube is telescopically received in the rear tube. A mast is fixed to the forward end of the forward tube. A pantographic linkage includes draft links pivotally attached to the mast and a hitch member. A hydraulic cylinder raises and lowers the mast. The draft links include slots that receive bar portions attached to the rear tube, in a lowered working position. Telescopic tension connector links attached to the mast and the wings prevent pivotal movement of the pivot frames when telescopic movement is blocked.

  • Patent number: 7458311
Abstract: A return to neutral mechanism for a dual hydrostatic transmission includes a plurality of return to neutral control arms, each return to neutral control arm biased toward a neutral position. Each return to neutral control arm moves in response to forward or reverse movement of an operator control, such as a stick or foot pedal. Additionally, switches are mounted to the return to neutral control arms. The switches enable starting of the engine if every return to neutral control arm is in a neutral position, and disable starting of the engine if at least one return to neutral control arm is out of the neutral position.
