  • Publication number: 20240019076
Abstract: Indexed collar clamps allow for fast and easy adjustment of an associated telescoping stand, while preventing various underlying components from becoming dislodged from their respective positions over time. A telescoping stand may include an inner tube and an outer tube partially overlapping the inner tube. An overlapping end of the outer tube includes a compliance cut. A bushing is positioned between the inner tube and the outer tube and adjacent the compliance cut. The bushing includes a protrusion that indexes the bushing to an aperture in the outer tube. An indexed collar clamp is positioned over the outer tube and also adjacent the compliance cut. The protrusion from the bushing further indexes the bushing to a slot in the indexed collar clamp.

  • Publication number: 20240017391
Abstract: The clamping support heads disclosed herein provide a clampable mouth having jaws that can securely hold and permit movement of a variety of different size and/or shape objects. The objects may be quickly attached and quickly removed from the clamping support heads. A repositioning clutch allows for rotational repositioning of a clamped object. The repositioning clutch may include a clutch body attached to a stem of a stand, a friction ring seated to a clutch body, a bearing plate sharing a bearing interface with the friction ring, a clutch shaft extending through the clutch body, the friction ring, and the bearing plate to a terminal end, and a clutch adjustment handle screwed onto the terminal end of the clutch shaft. Rotation of the clutch adjustment handle adjusts compression force on the bearing interface between the friction ring and the bearing plate to secure or release the object from rotation.

  • Patent number: 11382263
Abstract: An articulating mower deck system. The system is adapted to disable power to a blade associated with the wing deck section before the wing deck section begins to lift—from an operating position toward a folded position—yet does not interfere with blade operation when the wing deck section floats relative to a center deck section during normal operation of the deck. Articulating decks of modular construction are also provided, allowing assembly of multiple deck widths with a minimum of modular deck sections.

  • Patent number: 11179835
Abstract: In order for hydraulic disk brakes to function properly over time, associated brake pads are changed periodically. In order to exchange old brake pads for replacement brake pads, a disk brake may require pushing back the brake pistons within a brake caliper body in order to make room for installation of replacement pads. Current tools and methods typically require removal of a wheel from a vehicle, removal of a brake rotor from the wheel, and/or removal of the brake caliper body from a rotor. The presently disclosed caliper piston tool allows brake pads to be replaced without dismantling various components of the vehicle, resulting in significant time and cost savings as well as convenience for do-it-yourself and professional mechanics alike.
