  • Patent number: 11116771
Abstract: Imipridones has been found to selectively modulate Class A G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), such as the D2-like subfamily of dopamine receptors, and to be useful for the treatment of conditions and disorders in need of such modulation, such as cancers, psychiatric disorders, and bacterial infections. In addition, methods of identifying whether a subject having these condition, is likely to be responsive to a treatment regimen, such as administration of an imipridone, are provided. Furthermore, methods of assessing the effectiveness of a treatment regimen, such as administration of an imipridone, monitoring, or providing a prognosis for a subject with these condition are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11031417
Abstract: A method used in forming an array of elevationally-extending transistors comprises forming vertically-alternating tiers of insulating material and void space. Such method includes forming (a) individual longitudinally-aligned channel openings extending elevationally through the insulating-material tiers, and (b) horizontally-elongated trenches extending elevationally through the insulating-material tiers. The void-space tiers are filled with conductive material by flowing the conductive material or one or more precursors thereof through at least one of (a) and (b) to into the void-space tiers. After the filling, transistor channel material is formed in the individual channel openings along the insulating-material tiers and along the conductive material in the filled void-space tiers.

  • Publication number: 20210114190
Abstract: In order for hydraulic disk brakes to function properly over time, associated brake pads are changed periodically. In order to exchange old brake pads for replacement brake pads, a disk brake may require pushing back the brake pistons within a brake caliper body in order to make room for installation of replacement pads. Current tools and methods typically require removal of a wheel from a vehicle, removal of a brake rotor from the wheel, and/or removal of the brake caliper body from a rotor. The presently disclosed caliper piston tool allows brake pads to be replaced without dismantling various components of the vehicle, resulting in significant time and cost savings as well as convenience for do-it-yourself and professional mechanics alike.

  • Patent number: 10974276
Abstract: A system that reduces the amount of water that enters a process chamber via a movable shaft is disclosed. The surface of the shaft is made hydrophobic. Any water droplets that are collected on the hydrophobic shaft are disposed at a high contact angle, making it more likely that these water droplets fall from the shaft. Further, any water that enters the process chamber is more readily removed from the shaft due to the lower energy of liberation. Reducing the amount of water in a process chamber may improve the lifetime of the components in the process chamber and may improve the yield of the workpieces being processed. This may be especially relevant when process gasses that contain halogens are employed.

  • Patent number: 10775380
Abstract: This invention concerns patentable devices configured to capture cancer stem cells and cell clusters. After capturing such cells and/or clusters, the cancerous cells are subjected to whole genome sequencing. The resulting genomic sequence information is then compared to that for “normal” or non-diseased tissue (obtained, for example, from either the same patient, or a population sample, etc.) in order to identify the specific genetic mutation(s) present in the CSCs. Further analysis then correlates the genetic mutations with cell growth signaling pathways typically found with tumor metastases. Armed with this information, an oncologist can then develop a specifically targeted therapy that utilizes approved drugs or drug candidates undergoing clinical testing to address the identified driver mutations and thus effect a “targeted” therapy tailored to the particular patient's disease.

  • Patent number: 10699336
Abstract: A buy order is received with a limit price that is above a published best offer, and represented in the auction market. If the buy order is not immediately executed, it is quoted at a minimum variation better than a published best bid, and the price of the quoted buy order becomes the published best bid. Alternatively, a sell order is received with a limit price that is below a published best bid, and represented in the auction market. If the sell order is not immediately executed, it is quoted at a minimum variation better than a published best offer, and the price of the quoted sell order becomes the published best offer.
