  • Publication number: 20230195466
Abstract: A data processing apparatus is provided that comprises rename circuitry for performing a register rename stage of a pipeline in respect of a stream of operations. Move elimination circuitry performs a move elimination operation on the stream of operations in which a move operation is eliminated and the register rename stage performs an adjustment of an identity of registers in the stream of operations to compensate for the move operation being eliminated and demotion circuitry reverses or inhibits the adjustment in response to one or more conditions being met.

Abstract: Methods and systems for determining a change in condition of a rock bolt. Some methods may comprise, at a first point in time, propagating shear and longitudinal ultrasonic waves along the rock bolt to measure a first time of flight for each of the shear and longitudinal waves, at a second point in time after the first point in time, propagating shear and longitudinal ultrasonic waves along the rock bolt to measure a second time of flight for each of the shear and longitudinal waves, and using the relative changes of the first and second time of flights, determining the change in condition of the rock bolt section.

  • Patent number: 11656912
Abstract: Techniques are described for enabling users of a cloud provider network to request the conditional termination of computing resources based on a forecasted availability of replacement capacity at a specified time or range of time in the future. A cloud provider network provides an application programming interface that can be used to make such requests, where the computing resources are hosted by the cloud provider network as part of a capacity pool shared by tenants of the cloud provider network. This type of request can be generated, for example, by a user desiring to terminate the use of some number of unproductive computing resources only if the user can be reasonably assured by the cloud provider network that capacity will be available at a future time when the user will likely need the capacity again.

  • Publication number: 20230153225
Abstract: In an approach to risk prediction for bug-introducing changes, a computer retrieves one or more historic pull requests. A computer determines a unique file linking for each file included in the historic pull requests. A computer generates a file risk dataset. A computer performs chronological partitioning on the file risk dataset. A computer determines bug-introducing changes in the file risk dataset. A computer computes a collaborative file association between two or more of the files in the file risk dataset. A computer labels each of the files in the file risk dataset with an associated risk of introducing a bug. A computer generates a labelled file risk inducing ground truth dataset. A computer inputs the labelled file risk inducing ground truth dataset to a file risk prediction model. A computer extracts pull request features from the historic pull requests. A computer generates a pull request risk prediction model.

  • Publication number: 20230149599
Abstract: Gamma ray and e-beam irradiation provided efficient sterilization of certain self-assembling peptides (including RADA16 in solution) without substantial degradation of the major peptide, while, e.g., another self-assembly peptide, QLEL12 was significantly degraded following irradiation. Irradiation sterilization enhances the rheological property of, for example, RADA16 hydrogel once applied to tissue at a physiological pH. The rheological property increase can result in higher efficacy in a variety of biomedical applications.

  • Publication number: 20230153478
Abstract: Techniques for providing a unique UI and backend service designed to improve item placement within a defined environment are described. The placement of an item within the UI is governed by rules. Measurement data detailing dimensions of an area is received. An item selection menu within the UI is populated with items in a database. A design layout area, which represents the measured area, is displayed. In response to an item being selected from the item selection menu and being placed at a location within the design layout area, a set of rules is triggered. The placement of the item either does not violate the rules or, alternatively, that placement does violate the set rules. If the rules are violated, then alternative suggestions are provided. If the rules are not violated, then the item is placed at the location.

  • Patent number: 11646985
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, non-transitory computer-readable media, and methods for dynamically controlling ephemeral messaging threads and ephemeral message duration settings across computing devices while improving security by maintaining end-to-end encryption. In particular, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems can transmit encrypted ephemeral messages, including ephemeral message duration settings and ephemeral setting timestamps. The disclosed systems can decrypt received messages on receiving client devices and dynamically apply ephemeral message duration settings to different message threads. For example, the disclosed systems can modify existing duration settings at a receiving client device to match a received ephemeral message duration setting based on determining that the received ephemeral setting timestamp predates an existing setting timestamp.
