  • Patent number: 9539047
Abstract: An intravascular catheter for peri-vascular or peri-urethral tissue ablation includes multiple needles advanced through supported guide tubes which expand with open ends around a central axis to engage the interior surface of the wall of the renal artery or other vessel of a human body allowing the injection an ablative fluid for ablating tissue, such as nerve fibers in the outer layer or deep to the outer layer of the vessel, or in prostatic tissue. The system also includes controls the depth of penetration of the ablative fluid into and beyond the tissue of the vessel wall. The preferred embodiment of the catheter includes structures which provide radial and lateral support to the guide tubes so that the guide tubes open uniformly and maintain their position against the interior surface of the vessel wall as the sharpened injection needles are advanced to penetrate into the vessel wall.

  • Patent number: 9530108
Abstract: A system and methods for mapping price and location of tickets in an event venue are described. An interactive event venue seat map is provided by a network-based system that implements an online marketplace for tickets for upcoming events. The interactive event venue seat map enables sellers to view pricing information and transaction information for both sold and current event listings for any section or zone in an event venue. The interactive event venue seat map allows sellers to browse and click on sections to see sold and listed data for any section and zone in the event venue and to compare a proposed sale price to available pricing information of sold and current event listings in comparable sections. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 9475584
Abstract: A thrust recovery outflow valve and method for controlling the transfer of air between a cabin in an aircraft and atmosphere outside of the aircraft are provided. An outflow valve is mounted on the aircraft that includes a valve frame, a first valve door, and a second valve door. The first valve door is rotated to a first predetermined open position while the second valve door is in the second door closed position to thereby open first and second flow passages that place the aircraft cabin in fluid communication with the atmosphere. When the first valve door is at a first predetermined open position, a flap is rotated, relative to the first valve door, to at least partially cover the second flow passage and thereby at least inhibit flow through the second flow passage.

  • Patent number: 9419444
Abstract: A power source device and a power charge device interoperate according to a wireless charging protocol. The power source device inductively wirelessly transmits charging energy signal via an inductive wireless power transmitting circuit. The power charge device wirelessly receives the inductively wirelessly transmitted charging energy signal via an inductive wireless power receiving circuit. The power charge device transfers wirelessly received charging energy signal to a re-chargeable battery of the power charge device. In response to determining that the power source device and the power charge device are in a charging arrangement, the power source device controls user access to a lockable user interface based on receiving information from the power charge device and can display messages received by the power charge device from a wireless communication network. The power source device can include a personal computing system and the power charge device can include a mobile phone.

  • Publication number: 20160198969
Abstract: System (10) for extracting a fetal heart rate from at least one maternal signal using a computer processor (26). The system includes sensors (12-18)attached to a patient to receive abdominal ECG signals and a recorder and digitizer (20)to record and digitize each at least one maternal signal in a maternal signal buffer (22A-22D). The system further includes a peak detector (40) to identify candidate peaks in the maternal signal buffer. The signal stacker (42)of the system stacks the divides at least one maternal signal buffer into a plurality of snippets, each snippet including one candidate peak and a spatial filter (44)to identify and attenuate a maternal QRS signal in the plurality of snippets of the maternal signal buffer, the spatial filter including at least one of principal component analysis and orthogonal projection, to produce a raw fetal ECG signal which is stored in a raw fetal ECG buffer.

  • Publication number: 20160143636
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing transapical access to a heart chamber for performing an intra cardiac procedure are described. The apparatus include a helical needle driver, a dilator, a straight access needle, and optionally a guidewire. After entering the heart chamber with the straight access needle, the helical needle driver is used to place a helical suture within the myocardium. After removing the needle driver, the dilator is advanced through the pre-placed helical suture, dilating both a passage and the circumscribing suture. After performing procedure, the pre-placed suture may be closed by proximally retracting an external end of the suture.

  • Publication number: 20160146384
Abstract: An open ear clamp having a clamping device like a so-called Oetiker ear. To make the installation of the clamp on a pipe easier, the clamp is pre-deformed, for example, in the course of production, to such an extent that the clamp surrounds the pipe for which the clamp is intended without play. Because of the elasticity produced in the clamp by this pre-deformation, the clamp still can be moved effortlessly to the installation location on the pipe and yet is retained there in the position of the clamp and in the desired orientation.
