  • Patent number: 10226278
Abstract: An intravascular catheter for peri-vascular or peri-urethral tissue ablation includes multiple needles advanced through supported guide tubes which expand around a central axis to engage the interior surface of the wall of the renal artery or other vessel of a human body allowing the injection an ablative fluid for ablating tissue, or nerve fibers in the outer layer or deep to the outer layer of the vessel, or in prostatic tissue. A method can involve injection of the ablative fluid over an extended time period of at least 10 seconds or with two injections at two different penetration depths to reduce or eliminate patient pain during ablation.

  • Publication number: 20190066843
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for collapsing clinical event data into meaningful states of patient care. In various embodiments, time-ordered streams of clinical data associated with a plurality of respective patients may be divided into one or more respective pluralities of temporal segments. Each stream of clinical data may indicate a clinical history of a particular patient of the plurality of patients. Each of the one or more pluralities of temporal segments may have a different duration. In some embodiments, embedding(s) of the one or more pluralities of temporal segments into reduced dimensionality space(s) may be generated. Process mining may be performed on the embedding(s). Based on the process mining, one or more temporal health trajectories shared among the plurality of patients may be identified.

  • Patent number: 10183743
Abstract: A method and apparatus for reconfiguring flight control of an aircraft during a failure while the aircraft is flying. The method and apparatus provide a control law that is software-implemented and configured to automatically send flight control data to a mixing/mapping matrix. The method and apparatus also provide a reconfiguration management tool configured to communicate with the mixing/mapping matrix in order to safely transfer authority from a failed actuator to a back-up actuator. The method and apparatus also provide a sensor management tool for providing input to the reconfiguration management tool in order to smooth any transient conditions that may occur during reconfiguration. The method and apparatus provide for a way of smoothing any possible transient situation that might otherwise occur by employment of a fader, the fader being used to gradually convert positioning of failed actuators and positioning of reconfigured actuators.

  • Publication number: 20180371940
Abstract: A system for transmitting discrete data packets of sensor measured values of operating parameters. The system includes a transmitting device configured to transmit the measured values per a transmittal protocol. The system includes a receiving device that receives the measured values processes the received measured values in accordance with a receiving protocol. The transmittal protocol includes: determining a most recent measured value for the sensor; selecting previous measured values for the sensor; comparing the most recent measured value to the previous measured values to determine a difference therebetween; and conditionally transmitting the most recent measured value based on the difference. The receiving protocol includes: determining a most recent received measured value for each of the sensors; deriving an analytic time based the most recent received measured values; and deriving a time-aligned value for one of the operating parameters measured by the sensors at the analytic time.

  • Patent number: 10072088
Abstract: Provided herein are antibodies that immunospecifically bind to BCMA. Also described are related polynucleotides capable of encoding the provided BCMA-specific antibodies or antigen-binding fragments, cells expressing the provided antibodies or antigen-binding fragments, as well as associated vectors and detectably labeled antibodies or antigen-binding fragments. In addition, methods of using the provided antibodies are described. For example, the provided antibodies may be used to diagnose, treat, or monitor BCMA-expressing cancer progression, regression, or stability; to determine whether or not a patient should be treated for cancer; or to determine whether or not a subject is afflicted with BCMA-expressing cancer and thus may be amenable to treatment with a BCMA-specific anti-cancer therapeutic, such as the multispecific antibodies against BCMA and CD3 described herein.

  • Patent number: 10036499
Abstract: An open ear clamp having a clamping device like a so-called Oetiker ear. To make the installation of the clamp on a pipe easier, the clamp is pre-deformed, for example, in the course of production, to such an extent that the clamp surrounds the pipe for which the clamp is intended without play. Because of the elasticity produced in the clamp by this pre-deformation, the clamp still can be moved effortlessly to the installation location on the pipe and yet is retained there in the position of the clamp and in the desired orientation.

  • Patent number: 9986013
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for space management in file systems provide a mechanism to enhance user interaction with multimedia devices. In some aspects, updated metadata of media content stored in a server is retrieved. A representation of the media content stored in the storage device and the media content stored in the server is outputted to the display. Selection of an action associated with the media content stored in the server when the mobile device is not connected to the server is enabled. The action, once selected, remains pending until the mobile device is connected to the server. Execution of the pending action when the mobile device is connected to the server is enabled. The pending action includes one of deleting a media file from the server or downloading a media file from the server.
