  • Publication number: 20180198645
Abstract: A method and device for suppressing an interference signal, the method comprising: performing signal reduction on a received signal of a given cell; performing channel estimation on the signal-reduced received signal of the given cell on the basis of a reference signal of the given cell and a reference signal of a neighboring cell to obtain a precise interference signal; and performing signal suppression on the precise interference signal. In the present application, before acquiring an interference signal, signal reduction is first performed on a received signal of a given cell, and then using a signal obtained by performing the signal reduction on the received signal of the given cell, estimation of interference is performed on the basis of scheduling information of a joint neighboring cell to acquire an accurate interference signal, achieving improved suppression of neighboring cell uplink co-channel interference.

  • Patent number: 10005469
Abstract: Misfire detection techniques for a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) including an internal combustion engine and an electric motor involve utilizing a crankshaft speed sensor configured to generate a crankshaft speed signal indicative of a rotational speed of a crankshaft of the engine that is coupled to the electric motor via a flywheel. The techniques also utilize a controller configured to control the electric motor to provide a vibrational response to dampen disturbances to the crankshaft, receive the crankshaft speed signal, selectively modify the crankshaft speed signal to obtain a modified crankshaft speed signal, and detect a misfire of the engine based on the modified crankshaft speed signal and a set of thresholds including at least one of a negative misfire threshold and a positive vibrational response threshold.

  • Patent number: 9990652
Abstract: A viewing user is provided with social advertisements when accessing content associated with a social networking system. A social advertisement can include a candidate advertisement and an associated social story. Candidate advertisements are advertisements provided by one or more advertisers, where the advertisements each specify a relationship between their advertising content and one or more social networking objects. To identify social stories associated with the candidate advertisements, the social networking system identifies other users associated with the viewing user who has interacted with social networking objects that are related to candidate advertisements. Additionally, the social networking system identifies the one or more interactions between the other users and the one or more objects as a social story.

  • Patent number: 9979714
Abstract: A social networking system provides access to personas comprising information, for example, web pages describing users or entities. The information may be suggested by the social networking system or requested by the user, for example, via search. The social networking system authenticates the personas so that only authentic personas are suggested to users or returned when a user is searching for information. The authenticity of a persona is determined based on the connections and/or likes coming from other personas, user accounts, or other entities represented within the social networking system that have been previously authenticated. The authenticity of the person is also determined based on external links to the persona, for example, external websites referring to the persona or the rate at which external systems such as search engines direct web traffic to the persona.

  • Publication number: 20180109793
Abstract: A transform block processing procedure wherein a maximum coding-block size and a maximum transform-block size for an unencoded video frame is determined. The unencoded video frame is divided into a plurality of coding-blocks including a first coding-block and the first coding block is divided into at least one prediction block and a plurality of transform blocks. The size of the transform blocks depend at least in part on the size of the coding block and the corresponding prediction blocks. The transform blocks are then encoded, thereby generating a video data payload of an encoded bit-stream. A frame header of the encoded bit-stream, including a maximum coding-block size flag and a maximum-transform-block-size flag, is generated.
