  • Patent number: 9884179
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to neuromuscular stimulation and sensing cuffs. The neuromuscular stimulation cuff has at least two fingers and a plurality of electrodes disposed on each finger. More generally, the neuromuscular stimulation cuff includes an outer, reusable component and an inner, disposable component. One or more electrodes are housed within the reusable component. The neuromuscular stimulation cuff may be produced by providing an insulating substrate layer, forming a conductive circuit on the substrate layer to form a conductive circuit layer, adhering a cover layer onto the conductive circuit layer to form a flexible circuit, and cutting at least one flexible finger from the flexible circuit. The neuromuscular stimulation cuff employs a flexible multi-electrode design which allows for reanimation of complex muscle movements in a patient, including individual finger movement.

  • Patent number: 9886490
Abstract: Approaches for a persistent data store that may be used to service data queries originating from data warehousing applications, operational reporting applications, or data archiving and data feed applications. At periodic intervals, data may be extracted from one or more disparate data sources. The extracted data may be stored in the persistent data store in a tabular format. A backward delta data set is generated. The backward delta data set identifies what additions, deletions, and modifications need to be made to the data stored in the persistent data store to return the data to a most recent version. Backward delta data sets are stored and maintained in accordance with a policy that instructs two or more backward delta data sets, associated with a continuous interval of time, be combined into a single backward delta data set after the expiration of a specified amount of time.

  • Patent number: 9888414
Abstract: A method for reducing call drops in uplink power limited scenarios is disclosed. The method can include a wireless communication device determining that the wireless communication device is experiencing an uplink power limited condition in which a transmission power of the wireless communication device is limited to a level below a power class level of the wireless communication device. The method can further include defining a downlink power threshold for sending a measurement report for triggering a handover based on the uplink power limited condition. The downlink power threshold can be higher than a threshold configured by a serving base station. The method can additionally include determining based on measured downlink power that the calculated downlink power threshold is satisfied and sending a measurement report for triggering a handover to the serving base station in response to the downlink power threshold being satisfied.

  • Publication number: 20180034704
Abstract: Disclosed aspects relate to service interface topology management for a shared pool of configurable computing resources. A management engine may detect a first linkage error event for a first set of data traffic with respect to a first service interface cable which connects a first global service processor with a set of hardware devices. A second service interface cable which connects a second global service processor with the set of hardware devices may be sensed. Based on and in response to the first linkage error event for the first set of data traffic, the management engine may determine to access the set of hardware devices by utilizing the second service interface cable. The first set of data traffic may be routed to the set of hardware devices via the second service interface cable.

  • Patent number: 9878968
Abstract: A process is described for separating paraxylene from a multicomponent fluid mixture of C8 aromatics. A mixture of C8 aromatics is fed to a simulated moving bed adsorptive apparatus having at least two sieve chambers and at least two rotary valves. Each sieve chamber may be operated individually using the PowerFeed process. The flow rates of the streams to or from the individual sieve chambers may be varied during the step time in an inverse manner such that a substantially constant flow to and from the apparatus is achieved. Alternatively, the flow rates to each sieve chamber may vary during the step time according to the same profile, but the rotary valves may be off-set and step independently in a staggered manner to achieve a substantially constant flow of a stream to or from the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 9876514
Abstract: In some example implementations, there may be provided methods for beamforming calibration of active electronically steered arrays (AESA). In some implementations, one or more adders may generate a phase offset by adding phase calibration data from non-volatile memory and phase command data from static memory, and/or generate a gain offset by adding gain calibration data from the non-volatile memory and gain command data from the static memory. Further, a phase-shift circuit can modify, based on the phase offset, a phase of a first output signal, and an amplitude gain circuit can modify, based on the gain offset, an amplitude of the first output signal. In accordance with these implementations, the modified phase of the first output signal and the modified amplitude of the first output signal are provided to enable pre-calibration of the first output signal and/or a first antenna. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also described.
