Abstract: Processes for conversion of propylene polyol feed into useful petrochemical products, including olefin monomers, are described. Such processes comprise: adding a feed stream comprising one or more propylene polyols to a dehydration cleavage reaction zone in the presence of a dehydration cleavage catalyst and reacting at a pressure and temperature sufficient to form a product stream comprising propionaldehyde, a dioxolane component, and a dioxane component; and adding the product stream and hydrogen to a dehydration reaction zone in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst to form and reacting at a pressure and temperature sufficient to form a second product stream comprising a propanol component. The second product can be added to a dehydration reaction zone in the presence of a dehydration catalyst and reacted at a pressure and temperature sufficient to form a third product stream comprising propylene.

  • Publication number: 20240185957
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system and method for making allele calls, and for determining the ploidy state, in one or a small set of cells, or where a limited quantity of genetic data is available. Poorly or incorrectly measured base pairs, missing alleles and missing regions are reconstructed and the haplotypes are determined using expected similarities between the target genome and the knowledge of the genomes of genetically related individuals. In one embodiment, incomplete genetic data from an embryonic cell are reconstructed at a plurality of loci using the genetic data from both parents, and possibly one or more sperm and/or sibling embryos. In another embodiment, the chromosome copy number can be determined using the same input data. In another embodiment, these determinations are made for embryo selection during IVF, for non-invasive prenatal diagnosis, or for making phenotypic predictions.

  • Publication number: 20240185432
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to a system, method, and apparatus for tracking a tool via a digital surgical microscope. Cameras on the digital surgical microscope may capture a scene view of a medical procedure in real time, and present the scene view to the surgeon in a digitized video stream with minimal interference from the surgeon. The digital surgical microscope may process image data from each scene view in real time and use computer vision and machine learning models (e.g., neural networks) to detect and track one or more tools used over the course of the medical procedure in real-time. As the digital surgical microscope detects and tracks the tools, and responds accordingly, the surgeon can thus indirectly control, using the tools already in the surgeon's hands, various parameters of the digital surgical microscope, including the position and orientation of the robotic-arm-mounted digital surgical microscope.

  • Publication number: 20240184651
Abstract: A data object from a data source is received by a distributed process in a data stream. The distributed process has a sequence of categories, each category containing one or more tasks that operate on the data object. The data object includes files that can be processed by the tasks. If the task is able to operate on the data object, then the data object is passed to the task. If the task is unable to operate on the data object, then the files in the data object are passed to a file staging area of the distributed process and stored in memory. The files in the file staging area are passed, in sequence, from the file staging area to the task that was unable to operate on the data object. The data object is outputted to a next category or data sink after being operated on by the task.
