  • Patent number: 11553251
Abstract: This application describes methods, systems, and apparatus for allowing a user to easily determine whether the user and/or other user(s) have viewed content. For example, a program guide may display one or more graphics associated with the content (e.g., a movie poster), and in response to determining whether the user has viewed the content, the program guide may include an indication of whether the user has viewed the content. The program guide may include indications associated with multiple users (e.g., different colors, icons, graphics, or text). The program guide may filter the content based on whether the user has viewed the content (e.g., only display content the user has not viewed). A computing device storing the content may manage recording of the content based on whether the user has viewed the content (e.g., delete the recording if the user has viewed the content). A viewing history of the user may be maintained.

  • Publication number: 20220394079
Abstract: A web application has a limit on the total number of concurrent users. As requests from client devices are received from users, a determination is made whether the application can accept those users. When the threshold number of users has been exceeded, new users are prevented from accessing the web application and are assigned to a queue system. A webpage may be sent to the users indicating queue status and may provide their estimated wait time. A cookie may be sent to the client for tracking the position of the user in the application queue. The users are assigned to a user bucket associated with a time interval of their initial request. When user slots become available, the users queued in the user bucket (starting from the oldest user bucket) are allowed access to the web application.

Abstract: According to some aspects, disclosed methods and systems may include having a user input one or more speech commands into an input device of a user device. The user device may communicate with one or more components or devices at a local office or headend. The local office or the user device may transcribe the speech commands into language transcriptions. The local office or the user device may determine a mood for the user based on whether any of the speech commands may have been repeated. The local office or the user device may determine, based on the mood of the user, which content asset or content service to make available to the user device.

  • Publication number: 20220336088
Abstract: Techniques are described for predicting information regarding expected time of occurrence of clinical events based on longitudinal patient data. According to an embodiment, a method can include clustering, by a system comprising a processor, training data samples corresponding to different patients that experienced a clinical event into different patient groups as a function of different defined timeframes within which the clinical event occurred. The method further comprises employing, by the system, a first machine learning process to train a classification model using the training data samples to predict the different patient groups to which the training data samples respectively belong, and employing, by the system, a second machine learning process to train a clinical time to event model using the training data samples to predict an expected duration of time until occurrence of the clinical event as a function of the different patient groups.

  • Patent number: 11444918
Abstract: The disclosed technology is generally directed to firewalls. In one example of the technology, a first firewall is used such that communication is blocked from a first subsystem of a device upon boot of the device. The first firewall is enabled to be configured by secure code subsequent to boot such that code that is not secure code is prevented from configuring the first firewall. After configuration of the first firewall, based on the configuration, the first firewall is used to selectively allow the first subsystem access to the first memory based on ranges of addresses of the first memory configured as accessible to the first subsystem.

  • Publication number: 20220175561
Abstract: A retrievable stent configured to be positioned across the ductus arteriosus in a pediatric human patient to keep the ductus arteriosus open and ensure adequate blood flow is described. The retrievable stent can include a plurality of 4 to 8 struts that extend from a proximal end connector to a distal end tip, each having a curved proximal strut end, a curved distal strut end and an elongated strut body portion that extends from the curved proximal strut end to the curved distal strut end. When the stent is positioned in the ductus arteriosus, the curved proximal strut ends and the curved distal strut ends engage the ductus arteriosus to provide the radial force necessary to keep the ductus arteriosus open while the elongated strut body portions minimally engage the ductus arteriosus to prevent invagination into the vascular wall and thus allow for subsequent retrieval.

  • Publication number: 20220108683
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for processing and interpreting audible commands spoken in one or more languages. Speech recognition systems disclosed herein may be used as a stand-alone speech recognition system or comprise a portion of another content consumption system. A requesting user may provide audio input (e.g., command data) to the speech recognition system via a computing device to request an entertainment system to perform one or more operational commands. The speech recognition system may analyze the audio input across a variety of linguistic models, and may parse the audio input to identify a plurality of phrases and corresponding action classifiers. In some embodiments, the speech recognition system may utilize the action classifiers and other information to determine the one or more identified phrases that appropriately match the desired intent and operational command associated with the user's spoken command.

  • Publication number: 20220051919
Abstract: A system for controlling of wafer bow in plasma processing stations is described. The system includes a circuit that provides a low frequency RF signal and another circuit that provides a high frequency RF signal. The system includes an output circuit and the stations. The output circuit combines the low frequency RF signal and the high frequency RF signal to generate a plurality of combined RF signals for the stations. Amount of low frequency power delivered to one of the stations depends on wafer bow, such as non-flatness of a wafer. A bowed wafer decreases low frequency power delivered to the station in a multi-station chamber with a common RF source. A shunt inductor is coupled in parallel to each of the stations to increase an amount of current to the station with a bowed wafer. Hence, station power becomes less sensitive to wafer bow to minimize wafer bowing.

  • Publication number: 20220028373
Abstract: Methods for automatically evaluating ASR outputs and providing annotations, including corrections, on the transcriptions—in order to improve recognition—may be based on an analysis of sessions of user voice queries, utilizing time-ordered ASR transcriptions of user voice queries (i.e., user utterances). This utterance-based approach may involve extracting both session-level and query-level characteristics from a voice query sessions and identifying patterns of query reformulation in order to detect erroneous transcriptions and automatically determine an appropriate correction. Alternative, or in addition, ASR outputs may be evaluated based on user behavior. The outcomes may be classified as positive or negative. An ASR transcription may be labeled using the description of the outcome. The labeled transcription may be used as training data to train a model to output improved transcriptions of voice queries.
