  • Patent number: 10942798
Abstract: In one example of the technology, via a first independent execution environment of a set of independent execution environments in an integrated circuit, a first watchdog timer is caused to reset on a periodic basis. The set of independent execution environments is configured to have a defense-in-depth hierarchy. The set of independent execution environments includes a first independent execution environment and a second independent execution environment. The first independent execution environment is a most trusted execution environment on the integrated circuit. Via the second independent execution environment: a second watchdog timer is periodically caused to reset on a periodic basis. In response to the second watchdog timer timing out, an interrupt is communicated from the second watchdog timer to the first independent execution environment. In response to the first watchdog timer timing out, at least a portion of the integrated circuit is reset.

  • Publication number: 20200411168
Abstract: Techniques are described for managing tasks of a dynamic system with limited resources using a machine-learning and combinatorial optimization framework. In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method is provided that comprises employing, by a system operatively coupled to a processor, one or more first machine learning models to determine a total demand for tasks of a dynamic system within a defined time frame based on state information regarding a current state of the dynamic system, wherein the state information comprises task information regarding currently pending tasks of the tasks. The method further comprises, employing, by the system, one or more second machine learning models to determine turnaround times for completing the tasks based on the state information, and determining, by the system, a prioritization order for performing the currently pending tasks based on the total demand and the turnaround times.

  • Patent number: 10849542
Abstract: According to some aspects, disclosed methods and systems may include having a user input one or more speech commands into an input device of a user device. The user device may communicate with one or more components or devices at a local office or headend. The local office or the user device may transcribe the speech commands into language transcriptions. The local office or the user device may determine a mood for the user based on whether any of the speech commands may have been repeated. The local office or the user device may determine, based on the mood of the user, which content asset or content service to make available to the user device.

  • Patent number: 10826304
Abstract: A battery capacity translator (209) includes an input (301), an output (302), and a conversion circuit (305) coupled between the input and the output. The conversion circuit receives stored energy capacity information (701,702) corresponding to one or more energy storage cells of a first type at the input, and converts the stored energy capacity information to modeled stored energy capacity information (703) corresponding to one or more other energy storage cells of a second type. This modeled stored energy capacity information is delivered to the output to emulate the energy storage cells of the second type in legacy systems.

  • Publication number: 20200312430
Abstract: Systems and techniques for monitoring, predicting and/or alerting for census periods in medical inpatient units are presented. A system can perform a first machine learning process to learn patterns in patient flow data related to a set of patient identities and a set of operations associated with a set of medical inpatient units. The system can also perform a second machine learning process to detect abnormalities associated with the patterns in the patient flow data. Furthermore, the system can determine patient census data associated with a prediction for a total number of patient identities in the set of medical inpatient units during a period of time based on the patterns and the abnormalities. The system can also generate an alert for a user interface in response to a determination that the patient census data satisfies a defined criterion.
