  • Publication number: 20200220275
Abstract: Described is a method for manufacturing a radio frequency (RF) absorber. The method includes first determining a set of desired RF absorption properties for a RF absorber. A computer model for the RF absorber having the determined set of desired RF absorption properties is then produced. Using a three-dimensional (3D) printing process, melted plastic filament loaded with a RF absorber material is deposited in in computer controlled patterns according to the computer model, thereby producing the RF absorber having the set of desired RF absorption properties.

  • Publication number: 20200191692
Abstract: The invention relates to a rheometer comprising of a container for receiving a material sample to be investigated, a shaft with a rotating body which is immersed into the material sample, and a container lid that moves in the axial direction of the shaft into the sample container to deliver consolidating stress to the material sample. The forces acting on the material sample due to the rotation of the rotating body and the motion of the container lid and the location of the sample lid are measured as consolidating stress and rotational strain are applied and removed from the material sample.

  • Publication number: 20200107148
Abstract: Left and right ear HRTF coefficients are determined for an end user, one each for each of a plurality of head orientations, and provided to the end user on a portable recording medium, or via the Internet, etc. The user can then implement the files on audio played on the user's headphones, with the file corresponding to the user's head orientation being selected as the user moves his head to ensure the sound as perceived by the user remains emanating from a fixed external location. The user's personal HRTF may be generated using panoramic images of the ears, such as multiple 2D images or 3D imaging.

  • Patent number: 10419870
Abstract: Personalized HRTFs for each of plural computer game participants are convolved with functions representing the acoustics of a physical room in which each participant is located or representing the acoustics of a virtual space in the game environment. Head-tracking of each participant may be employed as the game is played and the HRTFs established accordingly. As the game progresses, the location of each player's character within the virtual game space with respect to the other players is tracked and audio adjusted accordingly. If desired, audio can be down-mixed from, e.g., 5.1 audio and then up-rendered for each player by the game console or by the players' local game interface, e.g., a computer game head-worn visor assembly.
