  • Publication number: 20080064275
Abstract: A marine propulsion system comprising a push rod activated pins (170) which engage eccentric shaft (174) for unlocking a propeller base (190) so the base (190) can rotate around a transverse axis. The base (190) has an inclined surface (192) which engages with an inclined surface (159) defining an opening in the propeller's hub therefore locking the propeller blade (34) in position. The inclined surfaces (159, 192) are disengaged by rotation of the eccentric shaft (174) thus the propeller blades (34) can be rotated to adjust the pitch and then the inclined surfaces (159, 192) re-engage to locking the propeller blade (34) in the pitch adjusted position.

  • Publication number: 20070173581
Abstract: The present invention relates to high-transparency plastic materials which are laser-markable and/or laser-weldable due to a content of nanoscale laser-sensitive metal oxides. These plastic materials, which may be provided as molded bodies, semifinished products, molding compounds, or lacquers, particularly contain metal oxides having particle sizes from 5 to 100 nm and a content of 0.0001 to 0.1 weight-percent. Typical metal oxides are nanoscale indium-tin oxide or antimony-tin oxide. These materials may be used in particular for producing laser-markable production products.

  • Publication number: 20070134092
Abstract: A control method and system for a controllable pitch marine propeller including operating modes comprised of a manoeuvering mode and a cruise mode and check modes comprised of an engine check mode and propeller check mode. The cruise mode provides for wide open throttle acceleration and power stop. Smooth transition sub-modes are provided for providing smooth transition between cruise mode and manoeuvering mode and vice versa. The system operates by a lever (28) which controls a pitch control unit (10) which in turn controls engine speed and also the pitch of propeller blades (12) of propeller (14). Thus, dependent on the position of the control lever (28) in either manoeuvering mode or cruise mode, an appropriate engine speed and propeller pitch is selected automatically for driving a watercraft.

  • Patent number: 7156707
Abstract: A marine propulsion system comprising a push rod (50) for adjusting the pitch of propeller blades (34). The push rod (50) has a screw-threaded bolt (60) engaged with a nut (78). The nut (78) carries a bevel gear (84) by which the nut (78) can be rotated to cause the bolt (60) and therefore the push rod (50) to move longitudinally. The push rod (50) is connected to a claw with arms couple with pins (170). The pins (170) engage eccentric shafts (174) for unlocking a propeller base (190) so the base (190) can rotate around a transverse axis. The base (190) has an inclined surface which engages with an inclined surface defining an opening in the propeller's hub therefore locking the propeller blade (34) in position. The inclined surfaces are disengaged by rotation of the eccentric shaft (174) thus the propeller blades (34) can be rotated to adjust the pitch and than the inclined surfaces re-engage locking the propeller blade (34) in the pitch adjusted position.

  • Publication number: 20060163123
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to provide a sieve jigger comprising a sieved-product rocker that can be pivoted upwards and downwards, whose lifting displacement and/or lifting frequency can be controlled beyond previously accepted limits and which does not require vibration dampers that are subject to wear. To achieve this, the sieved-product rocker is operated by means of a lifting and braking cylinder comprising an integrated measuring device for the displacement of the cylinder piston and a working chamber, to which a hydraulic-oil supply and evacuation conduit is connected, said conduit containing an integrated proportional control valve. The lifting and braking cylinder interacts with the proportional control valve by means of a displacement sensor and a governor in order to control the displacement upwards and downwards and thus the lifting height and/or the lifting frequency of the rocker.

  • Patent number: 7059454
Abstract: A one way braking device has a first sealed chamber filled with a viscous fluid, a braking rotor being rotably supported within the chamber, a housing or the braking rotor, respectively, coacting with a pinion which in turn cooperates with a tooth rod or a gear or the like. The first housing is floatingly supported in a second chamber of a second housing. The circumference of the first housing and a locking portion of the wall of the second chamber are formed such that a positive interengagement between the first and second housings takes place if by a linear first force component the first housing and the locking portion are moved against each other. A free running between the first and second housings is effected when a second force component opposite to the first component effects between the first and second housings.

  • Patent number: 6939418
Abstract: A process for thermomechanical treatment of steel for torsionally-strained spring elements, the initial material being heated with a heating rate of at least 50 K/s and austenitized, and then, being formed in at least one forming step with the formed product being quenched to below the martensite temperature to martensite and then tempered. To improve the strength or toughness properties of the spring steel in the strain direction of the torsionally strained spring elements so that the increase of vibration strength is considerable, the initial material is heated to a temperature above the recrystallization temperature and then formed at such a temperature, that dynamic and/or static recrystallization of the austenite occurs, and that the recrystallized austenite of the formed product is quenched.

  • Patent number: 6884441
Abstract: In contrast to the prior art, the essential components of dialyzing liquids are not provided as a dry concentrate or as a genuine solution at the place of dialysis, but as a suspension of undissolved or incompletely dissolved substances, preferably sodium chloride, optionally sodium acetate, in a solution of the remaining components. The suspension is prepared, stored, transported and used in a form designated as an acid cartridge or acetate cartridge, respectively. At the place of dialysis a liquid dialysis concentrate is prepared from the suspension by means of an apparatus, which is here suggested, and can be processed into dialyzing liquid with the existing dosing and safety systems of commercially available dialyzers. The prestage of a dialysis concentrate, which is described in this invention as a suspension, constitutes the supply form with the highest substance density for the components of acid and acetate-containing dialyzing liquids.
