  • Publication number: 20060072983
Abstract: A device for pressing a book casing onto adhesive-coated outer surfaces of a book block includes a circulating conveyor having a perpendicular section and saddle plates arranged to be conveyed upward in the perpendicular section. A press on device, with a press-on region and operating synchronously with the circulating conveyor, includes press-on rollers arranged opposite each other in the press-on region. The rollers respectively press one cover of the casing onto one adhesive-coated outer surface of a book block which is positioned straddling on one of the saddle plates conveyed upward in the perpendicular section of the circulating conveyor. A support plane is provided so that a book casing can be positioned and evenly spread out to match a length of the book block conveyed on the saddle plate. The support plane is arranged so that the book casing thereon can be supplied transversely to the perpendicular conveying section to a holding position for takeover by the book block.

  • Publication number: 20050060661
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system that facilitates displaying multiple two-dimensional (2D) windows with related content within a three-dimensional (3D) display model. The system starts by receiving a command to display a first window within the 3D display model. In response to the command, the system displays the content of the first window on a first surface of a 3D object. Next, the system receives a command to display a second window within the 3D display model, wherein content of the second window is related to content of the first window. The system then displays content of the second window on a second surface of the 3D object.

  • Patent number: 6758469
Abstract: A feeding device for feeding a processing line with printed products, including folded or non-folded printed sheets, from a stack of printed products. The printed sheets are held in a magazine. A conveyor defines a circulating path and moves in a conveying direction for conveying the printed products to the processing line. A synchronously driven separating mechanism, which is pivotally attached to the magazine, acts upon a closed fold or an edge of the printed product and operates to partially remove the printed product from the stack of printed products. A gripping arrangement includes a controlled gripping device attached to the conveyor in a feeding region of the processing line and essentially moves along in the conveying direction for taking over the printed product from the separating mechanism by gripping a front edge of the printed product relative to the conveying direction.
