  • Patent number: 4583174
Abstract: An electronically controlled fuel injection apparatus for internal combustion engine which increases the rate of fuel injection when the engine speed drops by a rate more than a predetermined rate under a condition that the aperture of the throttle valve is minimum, that is, under an idling condition. In order to increase the rate of fuel injection, the width of the basic fuel injection pulse is enlarged which is given according to the engine speed and the intake air flow rate, or, in addition to the basic fuel injection pulse, a predetermined rate of fuel is injected asynchronously, i.e., independently from the crank angle of the engine.

  • Patent number: 4573443
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling fuel injection in a multicylinder internal combustion engine, wherein fuel injectors for each cylinder are simultaneously operated synchronous with crank angles. The amount of injection is controlled by signals from an air flow meter. The apparatus includes a system operating, nonsynchronous with crank angles, the injectors when the engine is accelerated. The amount of nonsynchronous fuel injection is controlled in accordance with the position of the nonsynchronous injection (i.e., occurrence of acceleration) between adjacent synchronous injections.

  • Patent number: 4471743
Abstract: An injector is driven in response to a basic injection pulse signal having a pulse width extracted from an engine rotational speed and an intake air flow rate. It is judged that an engine is in normal operation only after the engine has performed predetermined rotations from a moment at which a throttle valve begins to open. During normal operation of the engine, a time period for limiting a pulse width corresponding to an engine rotational speed is selected, and, after this time period has elapsed, a pulse cut signal is generated to interrupt fuel injection of the injector in spite of the presence of the basic injection pulse signal. The basic fuel injection pulse signal is not cut under a transitional condition of the engine.

  • Patent number: 4466413
Abstract: The present invention relates to a fuel cut system for an electronic control system of an engine. The force motor includes an annular magnet, and first and second members cooperating with each other to define therebetween an annular gap concentric with the annular magnet. A cylindrical coil operatively connected to the valve element is disposed in the annular gap in concentric relation therewith and is reciprocated within the annular gap in response to the electric current passing through the coil. First and second cylindrical resilient members thermally connect one and the other axial ends of the cylindrical coil to first and second stoppers, respectively, to transmit the Joule heat generated by the coil to the first and second stoppers.

  • Patent number: 4428559
Abstract: A direct drive type servo motor in which a spool is driven directly by a force motor, the force of the force motor being balanced by the reactional force generated by a resilient member to stabilize the position of the spool to control the flow of working fluid. The resilient member is constituted by a metallic cylindrical member having holes formed in the outer peripheral surface thereof. The holes are arranged such that, when the force is applied to the cylindrical member in the axial direction, the cylindrical member produces an axial reactional force. In consequence, the generation of force component which would act to press the spool against the sleeve is avoided to reduce the friction between the spool and the sleeve to permit a smooth movement of the spool, while allowing the resilient member to have a high spring constant to improve the response characteristic of the servo valve.
