  • Patent number: 12088098
Abstract: A system for detecting power status changes, such as power outages or power restorations, at a multi-meter node associated with a power distribution network is provided. For example, a multi-meter node associated with a power distribution network can be configured to detect the power status change event occurred at the node, such as a power outage event or a power restoration event. Based on the type of the event, the communication module of the multi-meter node identifies meters contained in the multi-meter node that are impacted by the event, such as meters that become unpowered due to a power outage event or meters that become powered due to a power restoration event. The communication module generates a consolidated power status change message for the impacted meters and transmits the message to a headend system over a mesh network.

  • Patent number: 12089153
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for renegotiating target wake time (TWT) parameters used for transmitting Bluetooth-encoded audio frames over one or more Wi-Fi channels. In some implementations, a software-enabled access point (softAP) paired with a peripheral device based on a Bluetooth protocol and associated with the peripheral device via a WLAN link transmits one or more first Bluetooth-encoded audio frames indicating a current time-to-play (TTP) value for audio data to the peripheral device over the WLAN link during a first TWT session. The softAP detects a change in the WLAN link, and obtains new TWT parameters and a new TTP value responsive to the detected change. The softAP indicates the new TWT parameters and the new TTP value to the peripheral device in conjunction with tearing down the first TWT session, and establishes a second TWT session with the peripheral device based at least in part on the new TWT parameters.

  • Publication number: 20240296099
Abstract: An improved system architecture for scaling deployments of data management-as-a-service (DMaaS) distributes “job manager” functionality so that a large-scale data storage management system may be deployed in a cloud computing environment as DMaaS without experiencing performance bottlenecks that slow down core data protection operations at scale. The disclosed solution creates an infrastructure where job manager features run on any number of distinct machines or compute resources that act as local job managers. In the illustrative DMaaS, any number of components that scale horizontally (“the distributed components”) carry job management responsibility for storage management operations such as backup jobs, auxiliary copy jobs, archive jobs, etc. These distributed components are configured to perform locally as job managers and to see each storage management job through from beginning to end without centralized control.

  • Patent number: 12081142
Abstract: A modulator for a flying-capacitor type multilevel converter receives, at an input, a time-variant reference signal and provides, at an output, a sequence of target levels, to provide switching signals for switching between discrete output levels of the multilevel converter according to the shape of the reference signal. The modulator determines a critical level as an intermediate output level of the multilevel converter which is closest to the level of the reference signal; and outputs only target levels corresponding to output levels different from the critical level.

  • Patent number: 12073422
Abstract: Web-based opinion survey method, apparatus, and computer-readable media operable to cause propositional function responses to be provided to a survey server from a client device. The propositional functions are P(x), where P and x are the predicate and subject. Each P(x) is evaluated in the client device for subjects, each with a different x. Preferably, the client device displays the subjects within a Web Single Page Application (SPA) running on the client device. Preferably, the SPA displays a nonnumerical scale, the granularity of which is directly proportional to the number of pixels spanned by the scale. For each P(x), the client device displays labeled markers along the scale, to provide an indication of a level of agreement with the expressed P(x). For each P(x) subject, the client expresses an opinion on a position on the scale, whereby a pixel position corresponds to a rating for the selected subject.

  • Patent number: 12070603
Abstract: Methods and systems for using sensed evoked neural responses for informing aspects of neurostimulation therapy are disclosed. Electrical signals may be recorded during the provision of electrical stimulation to a patient's neural tissue. The electrical signals may be processed and analyzed using one or more classification criteria to determine if the electrical signals contain a neural response of interest. Examples of such neural responses include evoked neural responses that are oscillatory and/or resonant in nature. If the electrical signals include such responses of interest, one or more features may be extracted from the signals and used as biomarkers for informing aspects of neurostimulation therapy, such as directing lead placement, optimizing stimulation parameters, closed-loop feedback control of stimulation, and the like. Various methods and systems described herein are particularly relevant in the context of multi-site stimulation paradigms, such as coordinated reset neuromodulation.

  • Publication number: 20240283624
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communication systems, a first network node may transmit, prior to being radio resource control (RRC)-connected with a second network node, a first message indicating a first capability of the first network node to support full-duplex communications. After transmitting the first message and while RRC-connected with the second network node (and before, during, or after exchanging data with the second network node), the first network node may transmit one or more second messages indicating a second capability of the first network node to support full-duplex communications. The second capability may update or change the first capability indicated via the first message. The first network node and the second network node may communicate in accordance with the second capability indicated in one of the second messages.
