  • Patent number: 11729296
Abstract: Dynamically scaling control plane for ingress services for large numbers of applications with minimal traffic disruption includes receiving an estimate of a number of applications to be executed by multiple clusters implemented by an orchestrator platform. Each cluster includes multiple containers. The multiple clusters implement a centralized controller that control execution of the applications by the multiple clusters. The centralized controller is sharded into a variable number of controllers that collectively control the estimated number of applications based on the estimate of the number of applications and a pre-determined number of applications that each controller can control. Each controller of the variable number of controllers controls an execution of a respective subset of the applications. In response to a change in the number of applications over time, the number of controllers is modified based on a number of applications to be executed by the multiple clusters at any given time.

  • Patent number: 11723053
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which control information is transmitted using a single carrier (SC) waveform in time domain blocks without a cyclic prefix (CP). A base station may configure a user equipment (UE) for control information transmissions using a SC waveform without CPs in time domain blocks, and may activate the SC waveform without CPs in time domain blocks based on one or more parameters. The control information may be non-uniformly segmented across two or more time domain blocks or two or more portions of a time domain block. A reference signal, such as a demodulation reference signal, may be transmitted in the time domain blocks, where the reference signals may be distributed evenly or unevenly across the time domain blocks.

  • Patent number: 11720534
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for remote code execution between computing environments having various dissimilarities. Client requests at a source environment lead to calls of various types lacking immediate support within the source environment. Calls are delegated to the target environment, where function schemas, data schemas, or copies of source-side schemas are variously used to reconcile called source-side entities with their target-side counterparts. Inconsistencies between name and data representations and datatypes are also addressed. Serially communicated (JSON) parameters are resolved into required target-side multi-level parameter structures, and vice versa. Expedited bulk data access to/from a database layer is supported. A use case is described for phased migration of a software application. Generic and extensible remote code execution allows rapid migration, adaptation, or deployment of software applications across diverse computing environments.

  • Publication number: 20230247419
Abstract: An access point that detects a duplicate address is described. During operation, the access point may receive a request associated with an electronic device, where the request includes an address of the electronic device (such as an IP address). In response, the access point may perform a comparison of the address to stored addresses of one or more electronic devices that are associated with the access point. When the comparison indicates that the address is in use by another electronic device in the one or more electronic devices, the access point may provide a response addressed to the electronic device that indicates that the address is in use. Otherwise, the access point may check with a remainder of a network to see if the address is in use. If the address is in use, the access point may provide the response.
