  • Publication number: 20070283414
Abstract: A device management system which makes it possible to promptly and easily change and reset device-related operation rights assigned to users. User's operation rights with respect to a device are set, and a system policy is set which is used to restrict the operation rights with respect to the device and is to be applied to a plurality of specific users. It is determined whether or not the system policy is to be applied. If it is determined that the system policy is to be applied, the user's operation rights with respect to the device are restricted based on the system policy irrespective of whether or not operation rights have been set.

  • Publication number: 20070082568
Abstract: A jet-propelled watercraft capable of maintaining a propulsion force required for a turn made at the same time as closing of a throttle valve. The jet-propelled watercraft has an auxiliary intake valve and an ECU. The auxiliary intake valve in an intake pipe opens/closes an auxiliary intake passage to bypass a throttle valve. The ECU performs control such that an opening of the auxiliary intake valve in a state where the rotation speed of the engine is not lower than a threshold value is larger than the opening of the auxiliary intake valve in a state where the engine is idling. When in a state where the rotation speed is not lower than the threshold value, it is detected that the throttle valve is completely closed and that a steering mechanism has been turned by a prescribed angle or more, a current opening of the auxiliary intake valve is maintained.

  • Patent number: 7035947
Abstract: It is an object to allow an output apparatus to certainly recognize an error when the error occurs at the time of a data transfer using an upper layer (IEEE 1284.4). In a communication system in which an information processing apparatus and an output apparatus can communicate data by using an interface constructed by the upper layer (IEEE 1284.4) and a lower layer (IEEE 1284), when the information processing apparatus detects an error at the time of a data communication using the upper layer, a predetermined command (device ID request) specified in the lower layer is used in order to allow the output apparatus to recognize the occurrence of the error.

  • Publication number: 20050275885
Abstract: In an information processing apparatus capable of direct or indirect communication with a printing apparatus, upon notification of processing status of a printing job, first identification information indicating a log-in user upon generation and transmission of the printing job is obtained. Then, upon reception of notification information indicating a processing state of the printing job from an external apparatus, second identification information indicating a log-in user at that time is obtained. It is determined whether or not the notification information is to be notified by comparing the first identification information obtained regarding a printing job corresponding to the received notification information with the second identification information obtained upon reception of the notification information.

  • Patent number: 6965091
Abstract: A laser welding nozzle used as a working tool, a linear movement mechanism of a pressing device, and a servomotor are fixed to a bracket. A roller support frame is fixed on a moving side of the linear movement mechanism. A roller is pivotally mounted at a distal end of the roller support frame. The roller is located in the vicinity of a weld point of the laser welding nozzle. By driving the servomotor in a controlled manner, a portion in the vicinity of the weld point of a plate portion to be welded is pressed by the roller to restrain a floating of the weld portion, by which a gap between the plate portions is regulated, and thus uniform weld can be obtained. The pressing position, speed, and pressing force of roller can be controlled easily, so that the pressing device can be used for various types of workpieces.

  • Patent number: 6965958
Abstract: A printer serving as an output destination can be automatically set from print data. Further, in order to search an optimum printer during a series of operations within a range from the issue of a print command to the printing and improve a working efficiency of the user, whether the data whose printing has been instructed by an application is a spool designated print job or not is discriminated (S1). When it is spool designated, a spooler interprets a DDI function, generates intermediate data, and spools as intermediate data into a spool file (S3). Whether all drawing functions outputted from the application have been spooled in the spool file or not is discriminated (S4). If YES, a print destination changing process is executed (S5). A print destination is changed and a network printer held in an RAM is updated. After that, the processing routine is returned to step S1 and the above processes are repeated.

  • Patent number: 6480292
Abstract: A printing system has a host apparatus (information processing apparatus) and a printing apparatus (output apparatus) for performing a printing operation in accordance with data supplied from the host apparatus. A plurality of communication channels are provided between the host apparatus and the printing apparatus. The numbers of packets transmittable and receivable in each communication channel are checked. When there is no packet transmittable to the printing apparatus from the host apparatus, the host apparatus issues a request, after a lapse of a predetermined delay time, to instruct the printing apparatus to inform the host apparatus of the number of valid packets. The delay time for issuing a subsequent request to the printing apparatus for the notification of the number of valid packets is adjusted in accordance with the previous delay time and the number of packets obtained in response to the previous request from the host apparatus.
