  • Publication number: 20020038792
Abstract: A laser welding nozzle used as a working tool, a linear movement mechanism of a pressing device, and a servomotor are fixed to a bracket. A roller support frame is fixed on a moving side of the linear movement mechanism. A roller is pivotally mounted at a distal end of the roller support frame. The roller is located in the vicinity of a weld point of the laser welding nozzle. By driving the servomotor in a controlled manner, a portion in the vicinity of the weld point of a plate portion to be welded is pressed by the roller to restrain a floating of the weld portion, by which a gap between the plate portions is regulated, and thus uniform weld can be obtained. The pressing position, speed, and pressing force of roller can be controlled easily, so that the pressing device can be used for various types of workpieces.

  • Patent number: 6323385
Abstract: A process for the wet processing of a dioxin-containing material, wherein the material is contacted with an aqueous solution, acidified with hydrochloric acid and containing a catalyst dissolved therein, at a temperature lower than 100° C. to decompose the dioxins into harmless substances with a decomposition rate of at least 60%.

  • Patent number: 6080373
Abstract: Catalyst particles are contacted with a liquid and a gas in a vertically extending cylindrical vessel. The particles and liquid are placed in the vessel into which the gas and liquid are continuously fed from the bottom thereof so that an upwardly flowing mixture comprising the particles, liquid and gas is formed. The mixture is introduced into a gas separating zone disposed adjacent to an upper portion of the vessel to separate the mixture by gravity into a gas phase, a supernatant liquid phase and a phase rich in the catalyst particles. The gas and supernatant phases are continuously withdrawn from the separating zone while the catalyst particles-rich phase is continuously recycled to the bottom of the vessel by gravity.

  • Patent number: 6066762
Abstract: A process for the production of a carbonyl compound such as acetic acid by reacting a carbonylatable compound such as methanol with a carbon monoxide in the presence of a carbonylation catalyst containing a noble metal complex supported on a porous, cross-linked vinylpyridine resin at a temperature of 140-250.degree. C., a carbon monoxide partial pressure of 7-30 kg/cm.sup.2 and a hydrogen partial pressure of 0.1-5 kg/cm.sup.2 to obtain a liquid product containing the carbonyl compound and an unreacted CO-containing gas product. The water content and the carbonylation degree of the liquid product within the reactor are maintained at 0.5-10% by weight and 0.5-0.9, respectively, The carbonyl compound is separated from the liquid product in a flasher and/or a distillation tower formed of titanium or a titanium-palladium alloy. The liquid product is introduced into a pressure reducing valve and then mixed with the CO-containing gas product before being fed to the flasher and/or distillation tower.

  • Patent number: 5508686
Abstract: An overtravel detecting device, mounted on an angularly movable shaft of an industrial robot for mechanically determining and detecting the limits of rotation of the movable shaft, is attached to a rotating shaft (12) of a wrist portion (10) of an industrial robot and is provided with a pattern plate member (22) having two grooved paths (24) for setting the limits of rotation of the rotating shaft at predetermined position with respect to an origin position of the rotation, and a detecting element constituted by a limit switch (32) for transmitting an overtravel signal when the switch comes into contact with stop walls (24a, 24b) formed at ends of the two grooved paths for setting limits of rotation.

  • Patent number: 5493192
Abstract: A method for accurately detecting an abnormal load caused, e.g., by adhesion of the distal end of a spot gun. A flag F2 is set to "1" when a move command is outputted to move a movable part of a machine and is reset to "0" upon lapse of a predetermined very short period of time, and, while the flag F2 remains "0" during stoppage of the movable part, a disturbance torque T0, estimated by a disturbance estimation observer, is stored and successively updated. When a move command is thereafter outputted, and the flag F2 is set to "1", an estimated disturbance torque T1 is obtained, and if the absolute value .vertline.T1-T0.vertline. of the difference between the disturbance torque T1 and the disturbance torque T0, estimated immediately before the movable part is moved, is greater than a reference value Ts, it is determined that an abnormal load is applied, whereupon an alarm is outputted, a flag F1 is set to "1", and the motion is stopped.

  • Patent number: 4920699
Abstract: An improved structure of a weatherstrip member for sealing an end of a pane of window glass applicable to a vehicular door is disclosed wherein a bleed rubber material mixed with a lublicant is used in a pair of seal lips extended from tips of the pair of side wall portions to reduce sliding resistance of the seal lips against side surfaces of the pane of window glass pane, a thicker bottom portion (rib) is provided on a part of the bottom of the weatherstrip member so that when the end of the pane of window glass is inserted in an internal space defined by the weatherstrip member with an offset toward the vehicular outside portion from a center line of a door sash, the thicker portion and a thinner part of the bottom portion of the weatherstrip member on which the top surface of the end of the pane of window glass is touched are contacted with the bottom portion of the door sash.
