  • Patent number: 7480777
Abstract: A cache controller is connected to a processor and a main memory. The cache controller is also connected to a cache memory that can read and write at a speed higher than the main memory. The cache memory is provided with a plurality of cache lines that include a tag area storing an address on the main memory, a capacity area storing a capacity value of a cache block, and a cache block. When a read request is executed from the processor to the main memory, the cache controller checks whether the requested data is present in the cache memory or not. A cache capacity determination unit determines a capacity value for the cache block and supplies to a capacity area.

  • Publication number: 20090016087
Abstract: An error voltage Verr, as amplified by an amplifier, and an input voltage Vin, are multiplied together by a multiplier to generate a first threshold value signal Vth1, which is in phase with and similar in waveform to the input voltage Vin, and proportional in amplitude to the error voltage Verr. A second threshold value signal Vth2 is generated from the first threshold value signal Vth1 by a series circuit of a diode and a resistor. The power factor is increased by on/off-control of a switching element via a drive circuit, so that a current detection signal Vi, which is detected by a resistor and corresponds to an input current, falls between the two threshold value signals Vth1 and Vth2. Since the off time is not fixed, the noise spectrum is spread and increase of the switching frequency is suppressed. Noise reduction thus can be attained.

  • Publication number: 20080312145
Abstract: The present invention provides preventive, ameliorating, and/or therapeutic agents for diseases caused by a disturbed balance between bone formation and bone resorption. The decoys of the present invention induce normal bone metabolism by inhibiting the differentiation-inducing factors of cells involved in bone metabolism. For example, bone resorption can be controlled by using a decoy of the present invention to inhibit NF-?B, a transcriptional regulatory factor that regulates osteoclast differentiation. This method uses a mechanism different from those of previous pharmaceutical agents; therefore, one can expect it to be effective for cases in which existing pharmaceutical agents were not effective.

  • Patent number: 7456860
Abstract: Five infrared sensors are located in different height positions between respective main bodies 10A to 10H, and all of these infrared sensors transmit and receive 35 infrared rays pulse-coded in conformity with a start-stop system. In addition, these pulse-coded infrared rays have the signal width of, for example, 450 ?s, and are serially transmitted with a predetermined delay time in a period of 20 ms by a delayed synchronizing-signal. Intrusion surveillance is performed by identifying the pulse codes of these infrared rays. According to this, since not only interference among a plurality of infrared sensors is prevented, but also infrared rays are outputted in a short time, the occurrence of false alarms etc. decreases remarkably.

  • Patent number: 7272717
Abstract: Each embodiment of this invention implements step-by-step and empirical authentication of devices upon digital authentication among a plurality of devices. Each of a plurality of authentication devices of each embodiment can unidirectionally generate a hash value of a low experience rank from a hash value of a high experience rank, and receives a set of high experience rank and hash value in accordance with an experience. Upon receiving a certification request of the experience rank from another authentication device, the authentication device transmits a corresponding hash value to the authentication device as a request source. Upon sending a certification request of an experience rank to another authentication device, the authentication device verifies a hash value obtained from the other authentication device on the basis of a self hash value. In this way, the authentication devices authenticate each other's experience ranks.

  • Publication number: 20070140478
Abstract: An encryption apparatus for generating a ciphertext block from a plaintext block is disclosed. A selector selects at random one mask random number from a plurality of random numbers generated by a random number generator. A mask processing unit executes mask processing of a plaintext block by using the mask random number selected by the selector. A storage unit stores a first table representing an initial S-box. A converter converts the first table into a second table representing a deformed S-box on the basis of the mask random number selected by the selector. An encryption unit generates a ciphertext block by shuffling the mask-processed plaintext block using the second table.

  • Publication number: 20070071235
Abstract: A first Exclusive OR circuit operates an Exclusive OR between input data and a predetermined random number. An operation circuit performs one operation of encryption and decryption of output data from the first Exclusive OR circuit. A data register circuit, which has a plurality of data hold units, holds data from the operation circuit in one data hold unit of the plurality of data hold units in response to a selection signal, and supplies the data from the one data hold unit to the operation circuit. A second Exclusive OR circuit performs an Exclusive OR between output data from the data register circuit and the random number. The operation circuit recursively performs the one operation of the data from the data register circuit and outputs next data to the data register circuit.
