  • Patent number: 7134682
Abstract: An occupant restraint system includes an air bag arranged inside a roof side rail in a folded state. When a vehicle is involved in a collision, the air bag so arranged is inflated with a gas generated by an inflator so as to be deployed along an inner surface of a side portion of a passenger compartment in a curtain-like fashion. In a pillar garnish which covers a side of a pillar inner of a B pillar which faces a passenger compartment side, a rod-like projection provided on an inner surface of the pillar garnish at an upper portion thereof in such a manner as to project therefrom is inserted into a hole formed in the pillar inner. Even in case the air bag which is being deployed pushes against an upper end of the pillar garnish, the dislocation of the pillar garnish from the pillar inner is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20060061074
Abstract: An occupant protection device is provided which includes a roof side airbag mounted to a roof side rail of a vehicle to be inflated and deployed along the insides of side glasses by gas generated by an inflator. A slit is formed in a seatbelt interfering area of the roof side airbag which is interfered with by a seatbelt when the roof side airbag inflates and deploys. When the roof side airbag is inflated and deployed, the seatbelt enters the slit, dividing the interfering area into two parts.

  • Publication number: 20060061075
Abstract: An occupant protection device for a vehicle having several longitudinal rows of seats in a passenger compartment. The occupant protection device includes an inflator for generating gas and a longitudinally elongated roof side airbag mounted to a roof side rail. The roof side airbag includes a plurality of bag portions to inflate in positions corresponding to the rows of seats, respectively. Gas generated from the inflator flows through gas inlets disposed in a substantially middle portion of the roof side airbag into the bag portions generally uniformly, and the roof side airbag inflates along the inside of side glasses of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20050213696
Abstract: A frequency divider generates frequency-divided input data by dividing a frequency of input data. A phase comparator detects a phase difference between a phase of a clock generated by a voltage control oscillator and a phase of the frequency-divided input data, and generates a phase difference signal to be used to eliminate the detected phase difference. The voltage control oscillator generates the clock by adjusting an oscillation frequency based on the phase difference signal. A data identifier identifies the input data using the clock generated by the voltage control oscillator.

  • Publication number: 20050105919
Abstract: The present invention includes an optical band-limiting filter which imposes a band-limitation on an input optical signal, an opto-electric converter which converts the optical signal output from the optical band-limiting filter into an electric signal, a lowpass filter which imposes the band-limitation on the electric signal output from the opto-electric converter, an amplifier which amplifies the output signal of the lowpass filter, and an electric equalizer which performs an equalization processing on a waveform of the electric signal output from the opto-electric converter are provided, and a full width at half maximum of the optical band-limiting filter is set to be equivalent to or smaller than a bit rate frequency of the optical signal.

  • Patent number: 6842049
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting a difference between frequencies includes a beat waveform generator which generates a beat waveform signal having a frequency which is equal to a difference between frequencies of a reference clock signal and a target clock signal. A frequency divider divides the reference clock signal by N, where N is an integer, to generate a divided reference-clock signal. A frequency comparator compares frequencies of the beat waveform signal and the divided reference-clock signal, and generates a step out alarm signal which is a binary signal depending upon a polarity of a difference between the frequencies of the beat waveform signal and the divided reference-clock signal.

Abstract: In an occupant restraint system in which an air bag is inflated with a gas generated by an inflator so as to be deployed along an inner surface of a side portion of a passenger compartment in a curtain-like fashion when a vehicle is involved in a collision, a portion of the air bag in a folded state which is located in the vicinity of an end portion thereof is disposed within a space between a pillar and a pillar garnish mounted on a side of the pillar which faces a passenger compartment. By accommodating the air bag within an air bag accommodation chamber formed by partitioning the space with a bulkhead formed integrally on the pillar garnish, the bulkhead is allowed to be interposed between other members residing within the pillar garnish such as clips and brackets and the air bag.
