  • Patent number: 4286900
Abstract: A chemical fluids injection device for improvements in the ground includes an outer pipe, for injecting fluid-A of two-fluids for improvements in the ground, and an inner pipe, for injecting fluid-B of the two chemical fluids, which are coaxially disposed. An annular recess is located on the outer circumference of the outer pipe, and the annular recess is in communication with a space located between the outer and inner pipes and a space located within the inner pipe, respectively, through a fluid-A injection port and a fluid-B injection port, respectively. There is a resilient annular member made of rubber or the like which is located in the annular recess.

  • Patent number: 4282957
Abstract: In a vehicle equipped with a main transmission and, in series with it, a sub-transmission which has two speed stages, wherein the sub-transmission is automatically controlled by a main control system of a sub-transmission control system according to various operating parameters of the vehicle and the engine of the vehicle, it is proposed further to provide a sub-control system which is fed with a signal which indicates operation of the braking system of the vehicle, and which generates, when the braking system of the vehicle has been operating for longer than a first predetermined time, a shiftdown signal, which is fed to the main control system so as to override it, and so as to shift the sub-transmission positively into its lower speed stage, so as to provide good engine braking.

  • Patent number: 4200694
Abstract: A novel pectin esterase which randomly hydrolyzes the methyl ester bond of pectin can be obtained by cultivating, on a medium, a mold strain belonging to Genus Aspergillus, Genus Penicillium, Genus Fusarium or Genus Sclerotinia and having an ability to produce said novel pectin esterase. A demethoxylated pectin having a uniform methoxyl group content can be obtained by adding said novel pectin esterase to pectin. The demethoxylated pectin thus obtained can be utilized as gelling agent, emulsifier or thickener for food processing.

  • Patent number: 4090748
Abstract: The oil grooves which are formed in the bore of a hollow rear bushing that is disposed adjacent to the rear end of an extension housing of an automotive transmission are provided in such a pattern that upon rotation of the output shaft or sleeve journalled in the bore, lubricating oil is drawn into the grooves from both the front and rear ends of the bushing. The oil drawn in is distributed over the whole inner surface of the bore and discharged into the space behind the rear bushing. The extension housing is provided with a passageway which interconnects the space behind the rear bushing with the space ahead of the rear bushing.

  • Patent number: 3961080
Abstract: Yeasts are autolyzed to produce yeast extracts by adding sodium chloride and ethanol to active yeasts so as to make their concentrations 2 to 10 % (W/V) and 1 to 9 % (V/V) of the total volume of the autolytic reaction system respectively and thereafter subjecting said yeasts to autolysis. The thus obtained yeast extracts have a good flavour and palatability.
