  • Publication number: 20150006818
Abstract: A storage system manages initialization status of a storage area block by block. The storage system allows reception of an access request indicating data write to Storage Area #1, which is a part of an uninitialized block. Upon receiving the access request, the storage system writes data to the designated Storage Area #1 without initializing Storage Area #1, and initializes, of the uninitialized block, Storage Area #2 not designated by the access request. The storage system determines that initialization of the uninitialized block has been completed with the data write to Storage Area #1 and the initialization of Storage Area #2.

  • Patent number: 8794056
Abstract: An abnormality determination device for an air-fuel ratio sensor includes a differential value calculator and an abnormality determiner. The differential value calculator is configured to calculate a differential value of an output value of the air-fuel ratio sensor which is configured to detect an air-fuel ratio of exhaust gas. The abnormality determiner is configured to determine abnormality of the air-fuel ratio sensor based on a result of comparison between a reference output value of the air-fuel ratio sensor and a predetermined threshold. The reference output value is obtained by the air-fuel ratio sensor when the differential value calculated by the differential value calculator becomes a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 8229640
Abstract: When determining that a vehicle is not skidding, the ECU carries out tight corner control if vehicle speed is smaller than the upper limit value of the vehicle speed range corresponding to the starting state of the vehicle and the steering wheel turning angle of a steering wheel is greater than or equal to the minimum value of the steering wheel turning angle at which the tight corner braking phenomenon may occur. When determining that the vehicle is skidding, the ECU inhibits the tight corner control even if the vehicle speed is smaller than the upper limit value and the steering wheel turning angle is greater than or equal to the minimum value of the steering wheel turning angle at which the tight corner braking phenomenon may occur.

  • Patent number: 7953529
Abstract: The present invention provides a scheme for determining an abnormality of an intake air system with higher accuracy in an engine an intake air amount is controlled by adjusting a lift amount of an intake valve. A throttle opening area is determined based on a current intake air amount. A feedback correction is performed on the throttle opening area. The feedback correction includes determining a correction amount of the throttle opening area such that the gauge pressure inside the intake manifold converges to a desired gauge pressure and then adding the correction amount to the throttle opening area. A feedback control is performed on an air-fuel ratio. The feedback control includes determining a correction amount of the air-fuel ratio based on a detection value of an air-fuel ratio detecting means provided in an exhaust manifold.

  • Patent number: 7877192
Abstract: A rotational speed parameter is detected in accordance with a rotational speed of the engine. A reference value of the rotational speed parameter is calculated. For each cylinder, an error between the reference value and the rotational speed parameter detected every predetermined crank angle is calculated as a relative speed parameter. For each cylinder, an integrated value is calculated by integrating the relative speed parameters over a predetermined period. For each cylinder, an average value per cylinder of the sum of the integrated values of all the cylinders is calculated. For each cylinder, an error between the integrated value of the cylinder and the average value is calculated. For each cylinder, the output of the engine is controlled in accordance with the error calculated for the cylinder such that variations in the output between the cylinders are suppressed.
