  • Publication number: 20030205466
Abstract: An oxygen sensor is disposed downstream from a catalyst for purifying exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine and which can suppress an influence of unburnt hydrocarbon on an output voltage. After forming a platinum thin film on the outer periphery of a zirconia ceramic body, only a detection electrode of the ceramic body is dipped in a silver nitrate aqueous solution of 0.1 mol/l, and the silver nitrate is pyrolyzed through a heat treatment. Subsequently, a platinum reference electrode is formed on the inner periphery of the ceramic body. To protect the silver-doped detection electrode, a protective layer is formed on the surface of the detection electrode. By the exposure to combustion gas and through aging, a detection element is formed, and set into a metal case together with a cylindrical heater, to complete an oxygen sensor to be disposed downstream from a CNG engine catalyst.

  • Patent number: 6643045
Abstract: A semiconductor scanner substrate includes a vibrating structure of a mirror supported by a beam projecting from a frame. Strain sensing piezoresistors are formed in a base region of the beam adjacent to the frame. Metal interconnections are formed in the frame to connect the piezoresistors in a bridge circuit for sensing bending deformation or in a bridge circuit for sensing twisting deformation. Two of the piezoresistors extend alongside the lateral edges of the beam in the longitudinal direction of the beam, and these resistors are connected as adjacent arms in the bridge circuit for sensing the twisting deformation accurately.

Abstract: A data recording and reproducing apparatus capable of easily obtaining information which has few dropout and is necessary for variable speed reproduction at the time of variable speed reproduction. An image group dividing unit divides input image data into a plurality of image groups on a unit image basis, thereby forming plural divided data. After the formed divided data is temporarily stored into an image data temporary storing unit, the divided data is outputted as image data which is a data stream of the divided data in a predetermined image unit to a disk array apparatus via an HDD output interface unit. Each disk array apparatus records the divided data into HDDs so as to periodically change the relation between the HDDs and the groups of data to be recorded to the HDDs in a predetermined pattern.

  • Publication number: 20030117556
Abstract: A display device having an insulating substrate on which transparent electrodes having display electrode portions and wiring electrodes portions are formed, and another substrate opposed to the insulating substrate. At a portion of the insulating substrate at which the wiring electrode patterns extend across a contour line of the opposing substrate, the wiring electrode patterns are set perpendicular to the end surface of the opposing substrate. Dummy patterns may be provided outside the opposite-end terminal patterns in the group of wiring electrode patterns. In the thus-arranged display device, when the wiring electrodes are plated after assembly of a display element, a short circuit cannot occur on the insulating substrate portion at which the wiring electrode patterns extend across the contour line of the opposing substrate. Pads for contact with a short check probe are arranged in a straight line on the insulating substrate. A low-priced straight probe can therefore be used for a short circuit check.

  • Publication number: 20030039372
Abstract: Musical sound signal is input to an electronic volume control unit, which in turn adjusts the gain of the input musical signal and outputs the resultant gain-adjusted signal to an amplifier. CPU supplies the electronic volume control unit with a sound volume setting level corresponding to an output of a rotary encoder. At the same time, the CPU generates, with reference to stored data of a ROM table, a hue control signal for changing a displaying hue of a three-color light-emitting diode in accordance with the sound volume setting level supplied by the CPU. The CPU takes in a current sound volume setting level when an upper-limit setting switch is activated, and it retains the taken-in level as an upper limit value of various sound volume setting levels that are to be used to change the displaying hue of the light-emitting diode between purple and red hues. As the sound volume setting level is changed from zero to the upper limit value, the displaying hue changes in a stepwise manner.

  • Patent number: 6523352
Abstract: Piping support of a gas turbine steam cooled combustor is improved such that even when the piping support is damaged by combustion vibration, dropping of the piping support from the piping is prevented, so as to avoid intrusion of fractions of the piping support into turbine portion. An outer fitting member is fixed to a wall surface of a tail tube by welds. A ring is pinched inside the outer fitting member to be fixed by welds. The ring having an inner diameter slightly larger than an outer diameter of steam piping is fitted around the steam piping to be fixed by welds at three places. The steam piping is fixed to the ring, the ring is fixed to the outer fitting member and the outer fitting member is fixed to the tail tube. Thus, the steam piping is supported to the tail tube and even when the welds are detached by combustion vibration, no case of the outer fitting member dropping from the steam piping occurs.

  • Patent number: 6522143
Abstract: A magnetic resonance apparatus includes a main magnetic field source (12) for providing a magnetic field (B0) along a main field axis. A transmitter (34) and transmit coils (30, 32) excite a nuclei of an object to resonate. The resonating nuclei generate magnetic resonance signals detected by a volume coil (50) including a pair of end rings (70, 72) separated along a coil axis (Y). The end rings (70, 72) are electrically interconnected by a plurality of rungs (74) disposed about the rings. A conductive loop (80) is concentrically disposed between and inductively coupled to the end rings. The loop includes an electrical conductor (82) preferably surrounding the rungs (74), and positioned parallel to the end rings (70, 72). A capacitive element (84), in electrical communication with the conductor (82), is selected or adjusted to tune the loop (80) to signals at a selected frequency.

  • Publication number: 20030024299
Abstract: An engine oxygen concentration sensor mounting structure in which an oxygen concentration sensor is mounted in an exhaust pipe connected to an outlet of an exhaust manifold having a plurality of exhaust single pipes. When a straight line is drawn from a detection part of the oxygen concentration sensor positioned within the exhaust pipe so as to be parallel to a section of a centerline of the exhaust pipe closest to the detection part, the straight line passes outside the outlet of the exhaust manifold. This allows the exhaust gases discharged from the exhaust manifold to be sufficiently mixed within the curved exhaust pipe and differences in length of the plurality of the exhaust single pipes to be compensated for. Thus, accurate detection by the oxygen concentration sensor can be secured, even if the lengths of a plurality of exhaust single pipes of the exhaust manifold are nonuniform.
