  • Patent number: 5882048
Abstract: A hose connecting structure includes a hose whose central and engaging portion having a thermal flexibility resin which is molded by a blow molding method and a mating member which is inserted into the edge opening of the hose. The hose connecting structure further includes a ring-shaped sealing material and a first engaging portion which is disposed in the axial direction by a predetermined distance to the sealing material at either the edge portion of the hose or the mating member and a second engaging portion which is directly or indirectly engaged with the first engaging portion at either the edge portion of the hose or the mating member. Since the central and the engaging portion of the hose connecting structure includes a thermal flexibility resin which is molded by a blow molding method, the most suitable soft and hard resin for the appropriate portion can be used. When the engaging portion with the mating member and the central portion are molded integrally, the working efficiency is improved.

  • Patent number: 5845974
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an anti-skid control system which includes a return passage provided for communicating a wheel brake cylinder with an actuator. A pressure pump is disposed in the return passage, and a reservoir is disposed in the return passage at the inlet port's side of the pump. The reservoir stores the brake fluid in the wheel brake cylinder through the actuator to decrease the wheel cylinder pressure. The pump discharges the brake fluid stored in the reservoir into the return passage thereby to gradually increase the wheel cylinder pressure. The amount of brake fluid stored in the reservoir is estimated on the basis of the amount of brake fluid fed into the reservoir and the amount of brake fluid discharged therefrom. The amount of brake fluid fed into the reservoir is estimated on the basis of the wheel cylinder pressure provided when the pressure decreasing operation starts, and in response to the pressure decreasing time.

  • Patent number: 5805738
Abstract: Upon gradation converting input m-bit image information into n-bit image information (m and n are integers; m>n), random numbers, the maximum values of which are changed in accordance with the input values of the m-bit image information, are generated at periods of two or more pixels, and the random numbers are selectively output while switching their signs to positive/negative within the period of two or more pixels. The output signal values and the input values of the m-bit image information are added to each other, and the sum signal values are converted into n-values by a density preservation type quantization method. With this control, the problems of sweeping, texture, and the like of the conventional density preservation type quantization method can be solved without emphasizing the granularity of an image.

  • Patent number: 5748773
Abstract: An image processing apparatus having a first mode for processing electrical signals by a pre-scan operation and a second mode for processing electrical signals by a main scan operation. The first mode forms a histogram on the basis of electrical signals obtained by the pre-scan operation, and detects predetermined feature points from the formed histogram. A table is formed for converting signal levels of the electrical signals according to the detected predetermined feature points of the histogram based on the image type of the original. The second mode generates reproduction signals from electrical signals obtained by the main scan operation in accordance with the table.

  • Patent number: 5734484
Abstract: When an original image of a full color is reconstructed by two colors, it is intended to prevent that a part of the original image is not reconstructed. An image of a full color original is read by a CCD, thereby forming signals of R, G and B. In an image processing unit, the R, G, and B signals are converted into red and black signals. The red and black signals are sent to a printer unit and an image is formed in red and black.

  • Patent number: 5726781
Abstract: An image processing apparatus reads color images, identifies the colors of an read color image, converts the color image into a monochrome image, synthesizes color recognition information on the monochrome image, and prints the resulting synthesized image as a monochrome image. As a result, even if a low-priced printer is employed, it is possible to provide a monochrome image permitting recognition of the colors of the color original, or quick identification of differences among the colors thereof. Moreover, this allows a user to specify a desired graphic pattern to be associated with a given color, and to obtain collation tables independently of the monochrome image, or to print the specified graphic pattern with any variable magnification power.

  • Patent number: 5699167
Abstract: An image forming apparatus discriminates a color of an inputted color image for each pixel and generates a first color component and a second color component. The apparatus compares values of the first and the second color components, and selects and outputs the color component having a larger value. Meanwhile a color component which is not selected is diffused to neighboring pixels. When pixels neighboring a pixel of interest in a predetermined area are filled with one color component, the other color component is selected and outputted regardless of the values of the first and second color components.

  • Patent number: 5691827
Abstract: An image processing apparatus for converting color images into monochromatic pattern images. The image processing apparatus includes: means for detecting the area of a color image; means for converting a color image into a monochromatic pattern image; and control means for varying such image processing in accordance with the result of detection made by the means for detecting the area. When a thin line is detected in a color area, the method of processing is determined based on the width of the detected thin line. For example, when the width of the thin line is smaller than a predetermined value, the area of such thin line may be outputted as a plain image instead of a pattern image so that it may easily be seen or recognized. The contour of a color area may be made conspicuous by combining a plain image and a pattern image.
