  • Patent number: 6462834
Abstract: The color determination circuit 308 detects hue of the color image information, and the controller 205 decides a color component to be separated (separation color) in accordance with the detected hue. Output color by the printer 204 is set in correspondence with the separation color. The two-color-separating circuit 303 separates the color image information into image information on at least two color components in accordance with the decided separation colors. The separated image information on the each color is transmitted to the printer 204 via printer density correction circuits 304 and 305, and a buffer 306. Thereby it is possible to provide an image processing apparatus capable of setting and changing the separation color and the output color by automatic operation or by simple manual operation, thus the expression of the image forming can be improved.

  • Patent number: 6445149
Abstract: A reference pulse signal P is produced which is synchronized in frequency with a pulse signal S derived from a vibration source and has a predetermined duty ratio. Then, a control signal C is produced by providing at least one or more off intervals &agr;, &bgr; . . . at a random timing and random width predetermined for the reference pulse signal P to have the control amplitude correlated with the amplitude of the vibrations at the vibration source. This control signal C is used for controlling the switching action of the electromagnetic valve to have a desired level of pressure change in an air chamber 35 of a pneumatic vibrator which in turn develops a vibrating force on a mass member 20. The vibrations of the mass member can thus offset the vibrations of the chassis of a vehicle. Also, an electromagnetic vibrator can produce a similar control signal for eliminating the vibrations of the chassis.

  • Publication number: 20020059753
Abstract: When a fuel reforming system for a fuel cell comprising an autothermal reformer 1 wherein a partial oxidation reaction and steam reforming reaction proceeds simultaneously, is stopped, firstly, a supply valve 6 is closed to stop supply of fuel and water for steam reforming, and a supply valve 7 is closed after a predetermined time has elapsed to stop supply of air. In this way, the partial oxidation reaction which is an exothermic reaction is continued temporarily and the catalyst layer temperature of the reformer 1 is raised, so the catalyst layer temperature can be maintained high until the system restarts, and the time required for restarting the system can be shortened.

  • Publication number: 20010047620
Abstract: A fuel reforming apparatus quickly heats the temperature of a catalyst to an activation temperature to shorten a startup time. The apparatus supplies a hydrocarbon fuel and an oxidizer upstream from a second catalyst (2 ), and steam upstream from a first catalyst (1 ). The second catalyst starts a rapid oxidation reaction to generate a high-temperature gas which heats the first catalyst. When the apparatus changes a startup operation or an accelerating operation to a steady operation after a predetermined period, the apparatus supplies the hydrocarbon fuel and steam upstream from the second catalyst, and the oxidizer upstream from the first catalyst. As a result, the second catalyst starts a steam reforming reaction to absorb heat from the second catalyst. And the second catalyst rapidly cools to stop reactions and pass the hydrocarbon fuel and steam with out reactions. Then, a hydrogen-rich reformed gas is generated from the passed hydrocarbon fuel and steam.

  • Patent number: 6269798
Abstract: Two A-shaped brackets for clamping three linearly located injectors onto a cylinder head of an engine. Each bracket has one top branch and two foot branches. Two top branches of the two brackets cooperatively press down a center injector among the three, and two pairs of foot branches of the two brackets press down two side injectors, respectively. Each injector has a flange that is pressed down by the two top branches of the two brackets or the two foot branches of the associated bracket Each bracket has an opening at its approximate center so that a screw shaft extending from the cylinder head can penetrate. • Patent number: 6251258
Abstract: In an electrolytic bath, an extraction part extracts heavy metal in the internal organs of scallops into an acid solution. A direct current voltage is applied between electrodes, which are provided in the acid solution, to deposit the heavy metal in the acid solution on the electrodes. If the deposit efficiency deteriorates, the polarity applied between the electrodes is reversed from the polarity in the deposition of the heavy metal in a neutral or alkali electrolytic solution. Consequently, the heavy metal is removed from the electrodes. Since arsenic is dissolved in the acid solution, an alkali liquid and a flocculant are added to the acid solution to sediment arsenic.

  • Patent number: 6217225
Abstract: A wheel support device which is easy to assemble and compact in size. A pair of tapered roller bearings are mounted on the outer periphery of an axle. The pair of tapered roller bearings rotatably support an axle hub that rotates together with a wheel. A seal assembly is mounted between the outer and inner rings of one of the tapered roller bearings. The seal assembly prevents leakage of grease sealed in the axle hub and entry of muddy water from outside, and makes it unnecessary to provide a separate seal member, thus making it possible to assemble the wheel support device easily and to reduce its size.

  • Patent number: 6134023
Abstract: An image forming apparatus discriminates a color of an inputted color image for each pixel and generates a first color component and a second color component. The apparatus compares values of the first and the second color components, and selects and outputs the color component having a larger value. Meanwhile a color component which is not selected is diffused to neighboring pixels. When pixels neighboring a pixel of interest in a predetermined area are filled with one color component, the other color component is selected and outputted regardless of the values of the first and second color components.

  • Patent number: 6101994
Abstract: An aluminum cylinder block (1) of an engine has a plurality of cylinder bores (2), and intermediate marginal areas (17) defined between adjacent cylinder bores (2). A single water jacket (8) is formed in the cylinder block (8) to surround the plurality of cylinder bores (2), and a plurality of oil chutes (15) are also formed in the cylinder block (1) outside the water jacket (8) for allowing an oil to drop from a cylinder head (5) to a crankcase (14) therethrough. These oil chutes (15) are formed between adjacent intermediate marginal areas (17) so that they do not make the cylinder block (1) swell out. An air in the oil chutes (15) functions as a sound insulation layer against combustion noises generated in the cylinder bores (2). The air in the oil chutes (15) also serves as a heat insulation layer for a cooling water in the water jacket (8) so that warming up performance of the engine under a cold condition is improved.
