  • Publication number: 20170289768
Abstract: A portable electronic device may generate a (RF) radio frequency fingerprint that includes information representative of at least a portion of RF signals received at a given physical location. The RF fingerprint may include, for example, a unique identifier and a signal strength that are both logically associated with at least a portion of the received RF signals. The portable electronic device may also receive data representative of a number of environmental parameters about the portable electronic device. These environmental parameters may be measured using sensors carried by the portable electronic device. Considered in combination, these environmental parameters provide an environmental signature for a given location. When combined into a data cluster, the RF fingerprint and the environmental signature may provide an indication of the physical subdivision where the portable electronic device is located.

  • Publication number: 20170281079
Abstract: System and techniques for tracking caloric expenditure using sensor driven fingerprints are described herein. A set of outputs may be obtained from a plurality of sensors. A fingerprint may be generated using the set of outputs. The fingerprint may correspond to an activity observed by the plurality of sensors. The generated fingerprint may be compared to a set of fingerprints stored in a database. Each fingerprint of the set of fingerprints may correspond to a respective caloric expenditure. A caloric expenditure may be calculated for the activity based on the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20170286551
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for processing data. During operation, the system obtains a first configuration for processing a first set of content items from a first data source and a second configuration for processing a second set of content items from a second data source. For each content item in the first set of content items, the system uses mappings from the first configuration to transform original fields from the content item into required fields in a record representing the content item. Next, the system generates, from the required fields, a document key for the content item. The system also performs deduplication of multiple records with the document key and stores a single record with the document key. Finally, the system uses the second configuration to generate, from the second set of content items, a set of records independently of processing the first set of content items.

  • Patent number: 9745637
Abstract: The invention relates to methods and compositions for identifying soybean plants that are tolerant, have improved tolerance or are susceptible to Fusarium solani infection (the causative agent of sudden death syndrome or SDS). The methods use molecular genetic markers to identify, select and/or construct disease-tolerant plants or identify and counter-select disease-susceptible plants. Soybean plants that display tolerance or improved tolerance to Fusarium solani infection that are generated by the methods of the invention are also a feature of the invention.

  • Publication number: 20170185406
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of executing an instruction sequence with a recursive function call of a plurality of threads within a thread group in a Single-Instruction-Multiple-Threads (SIMT) system is provided. Each thread is provided with a function call counter (FCC), an active mask, an execution mask and a per-thread program counter (PTPC). The instruction sequence with the recursive function call is executed by the threads in the thread group according to a program counter (PC) indicating a target. Upon executing the recursive function call, for each thread, the active mask is set according to the PTPC and the target indicated by the PC, the FCC is determined when entering or returning from the recursive function call, the execution mask is determined according to the FCC and the active mask. It is determined whether an execution result of the recursive function call takes effects according to the execution mask.

  • Publication number: 20170169566
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems and methods to automatically classify stent struts as covered or uncovered and to measure the thickness of tissue coverage. As one example, the method includes storing three-dimensional image data acquired intravascularly via an optical coherence tomography (OCT) apparatus and detecting struts based on analysis of the image data. Image data corresponding to each of the detected struts is further analyzed automatically to compute an indication of tissue coverage for the stent.

  • Publication number: 20170154057
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for processing data. During operation, the system obtains a set of records from a set of inputs, with each record containing an entity key, a partition key, and one or more attribute-value pairs. For each attribute-value pair in the records, the system maps an attribute name in the attribute-value pair to a unique identifier for the attribute name and replaces the attribute name with the unique identifier. The system then identifies a subset of the records with a matching entity key and a matching partition key and merges the subset of the records into a single record that includes the matching entity key, the matching partition key, and a single field containing a list of attribute-value pairs from the subset of the records. Finally, the system provides the single record and the mapping for use in querying from a centralized source.

  • Publication number: 20170149271
Abstract: A power supply apparatus with a protection function includes a pulse width modulation control unit, a pulse width modulation detecting unit, a switch unit and a feedback circuit. The feedback circuit detects a bus voltage. When the feedback circuit detects that the bus voltage is greater than a predetermined voltage, the feedback circuit sends an informing signal to the pulse width modulation control unit. The pulse width modulation control unit adjusts a duty cycle of a pulse width modulation signal and sends the pulse width modulation signal to the pulse width modulation detecting unit. When the pulse width modulation detecting unit detects that the duty cycle of the pulse width modulation signal is less than a predetermined cycle, the pulse width modulation detecting unit turns off the switch unit to stop outputting power to avoid a reverse current phenomenon.
