  • Patent number: 9139917
Abstract: A nanocomposite material that is both transparent and electrically conductive is provided. The nanocomposite comprises a nanoporous matrix, preferably formed from nanoparticles, that is internally coated with a transparent conductive material to define an internal conductive path within the nanocomposite. The nanocomposite is substantially transparent over a defined spectral range that preferably includes at least a portion of the visible spectrum, and preferably comprises pores with a mean diameter of less than approximately 25 nm. A bilayer may be formed by depositing a layer of a transparent conductive material on top of a nanocomposite layer, or by depositing a second layer of a nanocomposite having different optical properties. • Publication number: 20150012812
Abstract: In a method for generating an electronic signature, a web server provides a webpage to be displayed on a touch screen of an electronic device, receives a representative signal of a handwritten signature inputted by a signer and a dynamic image that presents a motion of the signer during signing the handwritten signature captured by the dynamic image capturing module simultaneously with the inputting of the handwritten signature. Afterward, the web server stores the dynamic image as a streaming file, compiles a data file that includes the representative signal and the streaming file, and executes the data file in the webpage as an electronic signature.

  • Publication number: 20140338408
Abstract: An electronic system with an electronically electronic locking element is provided. The system includes a first electronic device having a first part, a first fastening element, a second part, and an electronic locking element. The first fastening element is pivotally connected to the first part and rotates relatively to the first part. The second part includes a fastening portion. The electronic locking element is disposed at the first part, electronically connected to the first electronic device, and connected to the first fastening element. When the fastening portion of the second part contacts and fastens to the first fastening element of the first part, the first electronic device supplies power to the electronic locking element, and thus the electronic locking element fixes the first fastening element to lock the first part and the second part together.

  • Publication number: 20140326970
Abstract: New carbazole-based compounds are provided that are useful as host materials for singlelayer and multilayer organic light-emitting diode (OLED) devices. Highly efficient single-layer OLEDs have been demonstrated using new N-heterocyclic carbazole-based host materials. Phosphorescent OLEDs with a structure of ITO/MoO3/host/host:dopant/host/Cs2CO3/Al have been fabricated in which the new host materials act simultaneously as electron-transport, holetransport and host layer. Using this design, devices with maximum current and external quantum efficiencies of 92.2 cd and 26.8% were achieved, the highest reported to date for a single-layer OLED.

  • Patent number: 8854841
Abstract: A controller for a power converter includes a clamping circuit, a switching circuit and a pulse generator. The clamping circuit is coupled to an input terminal of the controller for detecting a detection signal from a transformer. The switching circuit generates a switching signal to switch the transformer in response to the detection signal for regulating the power converter. A maximum level of the detection signal is clamped to be under a level of a threshold voltage during an off-period of the switching signal. Since the maximum level of the detection signal is clamped and the oscillating energy of the reflected signal is discharged, the speed of detecting the detection signal is increased. Therefore, the regulation of the primary-side controlled power converter can be improved accordingly.

  • Patent number: 8780515
Abstract: A control circuit with protection circuit for power supply according to the present invention comprises a peak-detection circuit and a protection circuit. The peak-detection circuit detects an AC input voltage and generates a peak-detection signal. The protection circuit comprises an over-voltage protection circuit. The over-voltage protection circuit generates an over-voltage protection signal in response to the peak-detection signal. The protection circuit generates a reset signal to reduce the output of the power supply in response to the over-voltage protection signal. The present invention can protect the power supply in response to the AC input voltage effectively through the peak-detection circuit.
