  • Patent number: 7231289
Abstract: A device and a method for controlling an internal combustion engine are provided, in which a first actuating variable of at least one first actuating element is adapted on the basis of a comparison between a first cylinder-specific variable characterizing the combustion process in at least one cylinder and a setpoint value for this variable. On the basis of at least one second variable, at least one deviation value for at least one additional cylinder is determined. Based on this deviation value, a second actuating variable of a second actuating element is adapted.

  • Publication number: 20070067514
Abstract: In one embodiment, the present invention includes a method for receiving data from a second device in a first device, forwarding the data from an input/output (I/O) clock domain to a system clock domain of the first device, and providing the data to a functional unit of the first device at a deterministic time. • Publication number: 20060287803
Abstract: A method and a device for operating an internal combustion engine, in particular a motor vehicle having a plurality of cylinder banks are described, making it possible to eliminate fluctuations in a time trend in an output quantity of the internal combustion engine that may result due to differences in operation of different cylinder banks of the internal combustion engine. A characteristic value of the output quantity of the internal combustion engine is determined repeatedly over time. The thus formed time trend in the characteristic value for the output quantity of the internal combustion engine is filtered as a function of the operation of the cylinder banks.

  • Publication number: 20060282209
Abstract: A method and a device for operating an internal combustion engine, particularly of a vehicle, having several cylinder banks are provided, which allow for a simplified control. For this purpose, a resulting requirement is formed by coordinating several output variable requirements of the internal combustion engine. The coordination of the requirements for several cylinder banks is performed jointly, and the resulting output variable requirement is then divided into several individual output variable requirements of each particular cylinder bank.

  • Patent number: 7129002
Abstract: A method for producing a rechargeable button cell having a negative electrode composed of a lithium/indium alloy, a positive lithium/intercalating electrode and an organic electrolyte, a lithium layer and an indium layer are introduced into a negative housing half-section. The positive electrode material is introduced into a positive housing half-section. The two housing half-sections are beaded to form the button cell once the organic electrolyte has been added and a separator has been placed in between, with a seal being inserted between the housing half-sections. A lithium-indium alloy is formed from the lithium layer and the indium layer by storage or a subsequent charging/discharge cycle.

  • Patent number: 6820473
Abstract: A device and a method for controlling an engine. On the basis of a first variable which characterizes the injection quantity and a second variable which characterizes the angular position at which the injection quantity is metered, a third variable which characterizes the torque supplied by the engine is determined. Furthermore, on the basis of a fourth variable which characterizes the driver's intent, a fifth variable which characterizes the torque desired by the driver is determined. The third variable and the fifth variable are analyzed for the purpose of fault monitoring.
