  • Patent number: 10434708
Abstract: In a 3D printing method, a sinterable material is applied and heated to a temperature ranging from about 50° C. to about 400° C. A coalescent agent is selectively applied on a portion of the sinterable material, and a modifying agent is selectively applied on the portion and/or on another portion of the sinterable material. The modifying agent consists of an inorganic salt, a surfactant, a co-solvent, a humectant, a biocide, and water. The sinterable material is exposed to radiation, whereby the coalescent agent at least partially cures the portion of the sinterable material in contact with the coalescent agent, and the modifying agent i) reduces curing of the portion of the sinterable material in contact with both the coalescent agent and the modifying agent ii) prevents curing of the other portion of the sinterable material in contact with the modifying agent, or iii) both i and ii.

  • Publication number: 20190300271
Abstract: A system for dispensing X-ray barrier envelopes comprises an elongated flexible substrate having a front side and a rear side, and a plurality of X-ray barrier envelopes removably disposed on the substrate and arranged along the front side of the substrate. The substrate with the X-ray barrier envelopes is configured to be wound around a spool so that the envelopes can be dispensed by sequentially removing each envelope from the end of the spooled substrate. As the envelopes are removed from the substrate, the substrate can be trimmed or torn off so that an envelope is always disposed at the end of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 10383715
Abstract: A wirelessly controlled inflatable medical implant system includes an external control module and an implantable module. The external control module may transmit wireless power and control signals, which are received by circuitry on a flexible printed circuit board in the implantable module. In response to the received signals, circuitry in the flexible printed circuit board may cause a motor and pump combination to transfer fluid from a reservoir in the implantable device, through tubing, and into inflatable medical implant located in the penis. The flexible printed circuit board, motor, and pump may be placed within the fluid reservoir, which provides a heat sink that prevents overheating of the implant.

  • Patent number: 10314482
Abstract: An eye alignment monitor and method are described for the detection of variability of the relative alignment of the two eyes with each other, thereby detecting deficits of binocular function, for use as a screening device for these abnormalities especially in infants and young children. Each embodiment includes means for tracking of the positions of a subject's two eyes simultaneously, and furthermore includes repetitive calculation of the relative positions of the two eyes with respect to each other. The embodiments do not require fixation by either eye on a specific point. Typically, a movie on a video display is used for viewing by the subject. Variability of relative alignment of the two eyes with each other is typically determined by variability of the relative positions of images of the pupils of the eyes with respect to each other over time.
