  • Publication number: 20100272051
Abstract: In a carrier assignment procedure, a mobile station and its serving base station exchange and negotiate carrier deployment and multi-carrier capability information, and make a well-informed carrier assignment decision based on the negotiation result. The carrier assignment procedure ensures that the assigned secondary carriers are not only supported by both the serving BS and the MS, but are also desirable under additional requirements and considerations. Furthermore, the carrier assignment decision may be updated based on additional considerations such as channel quality measurement and network load condition over the assigned carriers. Such updated assignment decision may be made by the base station in unsolicited manner, or based on a carrier re-assignment request from the mobile station.

  • Publication number: 20100272067
Abstract: Carrier pre-assignment is applied in multi-carrier handover operation to mitigate the impact to the user experience during handover and to achieve various objectives of call admission control in wireless multi-carrier OFDM networks. With carrier pre-assignment, a mobile station communicates its multi-carrier information to a target base station. The target base station pre-assigns secondary carriers to fulfill the requirements of the mobile station. In a first embodiment, a break-before-entry (BBE) multi-carrier handover procedure with carrier pre-assignment is provided. In a second embodiment, an entry-before-break (EBB) multi-carrier handover procedures for both inter-FA and intra-FA with carrier pre-assignment are provided. The multi-carrier handover procedures with carrier pre-assignment may be applied to 2-to-2 or N-to-N carriers handover situation.

  • Patent number: 7733444
Abstract: Residual direct-current charges may be accumulated and distributed non-uniformly on the built-in color filters in a displaying panel such as the liquid-crystal-on-silicon displaying device, and thus results in the non-uniformity of the internal electric field that controls the arrangement of liquid crystal molecules. To reduce residual direct-current charges so as to cause the internal electric field to be substantially uniform, the present invention provides a structure of the display panel including a plurality of shields for respectively enclosing a plurality of color filters, wherein each shield is connected to a corresponding pixel electrode by a conductive wire.

  • Publication number: 20100038335
Abstract: An air inlet is mounted in a baby bottle and has a valve and an air-inlet tube. The valve has a body, an outer ring and an inner ring. The body has a chamber, multiple separating blocks and multiple liquid channels. The separating blocks are formed on the body and each has a vent. The liquid channels are formed through the body between the separating blocks and communicate with the chamber. The outer ring is formed around the chamber to separate the chamber and the vents. The inner ring is formed on an inner end of the body around the vents and has multiple air inlets. The air-inlet tube is mounted detachably on the inner ring of the valve. Therefore, liquid flows through the liquid channels and the chamber, but air flows through the air inlets and the vents to the air-inlet tube to ensure smooth operation.

  • Patent number: 7532210
Abstract: A driving method for an active matrix liquid crystal display panel includes the following steps. First, a frame period is divided into a display period (t1) and a black insertion period (tr). A gray-scale voltage is generated according to a desired corresponding light transmittance of each pixel of the liquid crystal display panel; and during the display period, the gray-scale voltage is supplied to a corresponding pixel electrode of the liquid crystal display panel. Then during the black insertion period, a restoring voltage Vh is supplied to the pixel electrode, so that the pixel is returned to an initial black state. Accordingly, the quality of motion pictures of the liquid crystal display panel is good.

  • Publication number: 20090073105
Abstract: An exemplary shift register includes a plurality of shift register units, each of which includes an output circuit, an input circuit, and a logic circuit. The output circuit includes a clock transistor, a voltage stabilizing transistor, and an input circuit for receiving signals output by a previous shift register unit. The logic circuit receives signals output by the input circuit. When the input circuit outputs signals to switch on the clock transistor, the logic circuit outputs a low level voltage signal to shut off the voltage stabilizing transistor. Thus, the output circuit outputs signals via the clock circuit. On the other hand, when the input circuit outputs signals to shut off the clock transistor, the logic circuit outputs a high level voltage signal to turn on the voltage stabilizing transistor, so as to maintain the output circuit to output low level voltage signal.
