    Abstract: A single-phase AC/DC electric power conversion apparatus includes an indirect matrix converter having an input interface to receive a first alternating current (AC) signal and an output interface to produce a second AC signal, where the first AC signal has a grid frequency. A transformer has a primary winding and an electrically isolated and magnetically coupled secondary winding. A coupling inductor is connected in series between the output interface of the indirect matrix converter and the primary winding. An H-bridge switching arrangement is connected to the secondary winding and produces an output signal having a DC component and at least one AC component. The at least one AC component has a second order harmonic of the grid frequency. An active filter reduces the second order harmonic AC component. A modular conversion apparatus for three-phase power replicates the single-phase apparatus as a module for each phase and omits the active filter.

The bacterial strain can be used to generate Fidaxomicin or analogs thereof or compositions containing Fidaxomicin, such as by aerobically fermenting the strain in nutrient medium containing assimilable carbon and/or nitrogen sources. Fidaxomicin has an inhibitory effect on various gram positive bacteria pathogens, and in particular, on Clostridium difficile.

A secondary rectifier is connected to the secondary coil for rectifying the induced AC voltage to produce a secondary DC voltage. A sensor is coupled to the secondary rectifier and to the controller for monitoring the secondary DC voltage and outputting a proportional signal. The controller is configured to control the matrix converter producing a desired second AC voltage at a desired operating frequency and maintain a predetermined secondary DC voltage in response to the signal from the sensor.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a preparation method for praziquantel and intermediates thereof. The method includes: obtaining a target product praziquantel by using ?-phenethylamine as an initial raw material through a condensation reaction with chloroacetyl chloride, a substitution reaction with ethanolamine, and an acylation reaction with cyclohexanecarbonyl chloride, followed by an oxidation reaction and cyclization reaction. Also disclosed are two key intermediates, namely, a compound of formula IV and a compound of formula V for preparing praziquantel. The preparation method is reasonable and simple in its technological design, uses moderate reaction conditions, and is economical and environmentally friendly. Additionally, the raw materials are inexpensive and easy to obtain, the key intermediates are easy to prepare, and the total reaction yield and purity of the obtained target compound praziquantel is high, so that industrialized mass production is easy to achieve.
