Abstract: A holder for replaceable tools, including a body with an axial opening extending along an axis and for releasably receiving the tools and having two radial openings with balls therein extending into the axial opening. Two ramps are movable on the body and they engage the balls for forcing the balls onto the tool being held in the body and thereby radially and axially stabilize the tool in the body. Two separate springs engage the ramps for movement of the ramps separate from each other.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for treating diseases or disorders of the eye involving undesired neovascularization by administration of a complement inhibitory protein such as soluble complement receptor type I (sCR1). The present invention relates to the direct treatment of macular degeneration, particularly age-related macular degeneration (AMD), by administering a complement inhibitory protein intraocularly or systemically.

Abstract: A ratchet screwdriver with an assembly of a handle (10), a body (17), a gear (56), a pawl (21, 22, 71), and a selector (27) movable on the assembly. The selector carries a pawl actuator (38, 81) for pivoting the pawl, and there is a rotation lock (42, 92) on the selector for releasably holding the rotated selector. The selector can be axially, and also rotationally, movable on the body for controlling the lock. The assembly is along an axis (A), and there are a member (44) and axial force appliers (62, 64) effective between the body and the member, thus restricting axial movement in the assembly. There is provision for assembly along the axis from adjacent the handle. There are modifications and an assembly method.

Abstract: This invention puts forward a process of preparing butyl rubber. High gravity devices are used as polymerization reactor. The mixture of isomonoolefin and conjugated diolefin monomers and the diluent, and the mixture of the initiator and diluent are pumped at a certain ratio into a high-gravity reactor to conduct cationic polymerization in the high-gravity environment. After polymerization, the monomers and the diluent are removed from the product to obtain butyl rubber polymers with number-average molecular weight of 80000˜300000 and molecular weight distribution index of 1.9˜3.6. The high gravity polymerization method of this invention can tremendously intensify micro-mixing, mass transfer and heat transfer in the reaction. Compared to the conventional stirred polymerization method, this invention features small reactor volume, at least 30-fold shorter residence time of substances in the high gravity reactor, low cost, low energy consumption and high production efficiency.

The linkage mechanism is formed of a first linkage laterally and pivotally connected to a second linkage.

Abstract: A ratcheting assembly for a tool comprising a housing, a gear supported by a hollow shaft located in the housing and a pawl to engage the gear. A ring in contact with the housing allows adjustment of the ratcheting assembly. The assembly can the releasably lock the tool within the ratcheting assembly by way of a locking mechanism located within the shaft. The assembly further has a compressible collar that will be used to release the tool from the ratcheting assembly.

The clutch assembly comprises two relatively roatable clutch plates, a driving plate and a camming plate, that face one another, with a plurality of rolling members housed between the two members. When the rolling members are in the override position, the recesses form individual housings for the rolling members that include a gap located between the rolling members and a respective curvilinear base area of the drive plate. The clutch assembly is secured to a drive shaft by a pin, which is supported by a pair of wheels located on opposing sides of the pin.

Abstract: A ratcheting driver for rotationally driving a piece and having a handle and pivotal pawls engageable with a driven gear and being capable of ratcheting and driving in both rotational directions. A cap is rotatable relative to said handle and it has a web for pivoting the pawls out of engagement with the gear. Through the selective rotation of the cap, the setting of the pawls is established. A spring positions the pawls in driving positions, and the cap has surfaces which disengage the pawls from the gear upon rotation of the cap. A method of arranging the driver is included.
