Abstract: A communication method includes sending, by a source mobility management network element in a first area, a first slice set for a home public land mobile network (PLMN) (HPLMN) of a terminal device to a target mobility management network element in a second area when handing over the terminal device from a source access network device in the first area to a target access network device in the second area, where the first slice set corresponds to a second slice set for the first area, and obtaining, by the target mobility management network element, a third slice set for the second area based on the first slice set.

Abstract: A service transmission method and apparatus are provided to establish a connection between an access and mobility management function network element and a secondary base station, when a master base station is not capable of continuing to provide a service for a terminal device. In an embodiment, an access and mobility management function network element determines that a master base station is not capable of continuing to provide a service for a terminal device. The access and mobility management function network element sends a mobility management context of the terminal device to a secondary base station, where the mobility management context is used by the secondary base station to perform mobility management on the terminal device. Therefore, a signaling connection between the access and mobility management function network element and the secondary base station can be quickly established, thereby ensuring service transmission and improving user experience.

Abstract: When a target image is captured, the device provides a portion of the target image within a target detection region to a preset first model set to calculate positions of face key points and a first confidence value. The face key points and the first confidence value are output by the first model set for a single input of the portion of the first target image into the first model set. When the first confidence value meets a first threshold corresponding to whether the target image is a face image, the device obtains a second target image corresponding to the positions of the first face key points; the device inputs the second target image into the first model set to calculate a second confidence value, the second confidence value corresponds to accuracy key point positioning, and outputs the first key points if the second confidence value meets a second threshold.

Abstract: According to a communication method and a communications apparatus, in a process in which an access network device serving a terminal is handed over from a source access network device to a target access network device, a user plane function network element may transmit first information to the source access network device. The first information is used to indicate that the user plane function network element bicasts downlink packets to the source access network device and the target access network device, so that after determining that a data packet received before the first information is sent to the terminal, the source access network device triggers an air interface handover, to avoid a packet loss in a handover process, or so that the source access network device synchronizes a PDCP SN of the source access network device with a PDCP SN of the target access network device.

Abstract: An embodiment of the present disclosure discloses a method and device for managing a forwarding plane tunnel resource. The method includes sending a forwarding plane tunnel resource request message to a forwarding plane device, for enabling the forwarding plane device to allocate a forwarding plane tunnel resource based on the forwarding plane tunnel resource request message; acquiring the allocated forwarding plane tunnel resource from the forwarding plane device; and sending the acquired forwarding plane tunnel resource to a target network element, to establish a packet data network connection with the target network element. By adopting the present disclosure, the load balancing of the forwarding plane device is achieved, the signaling interaction between the control plane device and the forwarding plane device is reduced.

Abstract: This application provides a communication method and apparatus, to resolve a problem that a PDU session of a terminal in an inactive mode fails to be activated. The method performed by a first core network device includes: sending first downlink information to a first RAN node, where the first downlink information is used by the first RAN node to activate a PDU session of a terminal, and the PDU session is in an inactive state; receiving indication information from the first RAN node, where the indication information indicates that the PDU session fails to be activated; and sending second downlink information to a second RAN node based on the indication information, where the second downlink information is used by the second RAN node to activate the PDU session of the terminal.
