The control chip includes: a multimedia playback module, being adapted to drive the multimedia playback function, configured to generate multimedia playback information associated with multimedia data that has been played; a data processing module, being adapted to drive the data processing function, configured to generate data processing information associated with data that has been processed; and a data protection module, configured to control at least one of the multimedia playback module to stop the multimedia playback function and the data processing module to stop the multimedia playback function according to the multimedia playback information and the data processing information.

Abstract: In a computer booting method for a computer system, the computer system includes a serial peripheral interface (SPI) ROM and a supper I/O (SIO) controller. The method initializes a backup BIOS booting block of the SIO controller when the computer system is powered on, and detects whether an original BIOS booting block of the SPI ROM is damaged. A memory address for obtaining the backup BIOS booting block is changed from the SPI ROM to the SIO controller when the original BIOS booting block of the SPI ROM is damaged. The method further restarts the computer system, and executes a main BIOS of the SPI ROM to perform a power-on self test (POST) procedure of the computer system using the backup BIOS booting block of the SIO controller, to make sure that the computer system boots normally.

Abstract: A controller for an audio device is provided. The controller receives a first collected sound signal and a second collected sound signal respectively provided by two microphones, and includes an echo cancellation module and a beamforming module. The echo cancellation module performs echo cancellation on the first collected sound signal to accordingly provide an intermediate signal. The beamforming module performs beamforming by utilizing the echo-cancelled intermediate signal and the non-echo-cancelled second collected sound signal.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an auto-determining sampling frequency method. The method is for determining sampling frequency for an input signal of a single wire transmission interface. Each frame of the input signal includes a preamble and binary data presented in a plurality of bits. The method includes utilizing an internal sampling clock to acquire a plurality of period widths of the preamble and the binary data in the input signal and determining range of the sampling frequency according to the detected period widths of the preamble and the binary data.

Abstract: In a method for broadcasting advertisements on an electronic device, an advertisement currently being broadcasted on an electronic billboard is identified, and a communication connection between the electronic device and the electronic billboard is built. Information of the identified advertisement is obtained from the electronic billboard through the communication connection. The obtained formation of the advertisement is broadcasted on the electronic device.

Abstract: An exemplary multi-monitor method includes controlling a first position determining unit and a second position determining unit of a corresponding monitor to emit signals. Then, the method determines which of the first position determining unit and the second position determining unit of the corresponding monitor has received the signal. The method next determines the position of the corresponding monitor among all of the monitors, and determines a new coordinate range of the corresponding monitor in the Cartesian coordinate system. Abstract: Electronic device and a method for backlighting a liquid crystal display (LCD) display to provide different display definitions, the LCD display includes a backlight unit composed of one or more backlighting blocks. The method determines a display definition of a video image and illuminates or turns off backlighting blocks of the backlight unit to display the video image accordingly. The video image is displayed in full screen by all backlighting blocks if the video image is an ultra high definition (UHD) image, and turns on a smaller number of the backlighting blocks to display the video image if the video image has other than UHD display definition. As such, the electronic device is controlled to save power consumption in different display definitions of the LCD display.
