Abstract: The disclosure is related to a method, a touch device and a computer program product for converting touch points into characters. In particular, through an input interface, the converting method can be applied to the touch device and the computer program product. The converting method for example includes the following steps of: sensing at least one touch point triggered by a user on the input interface to obtain touch point number information and touch point position information; generating a touch point distribution of the sensed touch point(s) according to the touch point number information and the touch point position information; and determining an input character according to the touch point distribution.

Abstract: An automatic OSD adjusting device and the associated method are provided. The device includes a receiving unit, a processing unit, an OSD unit and an OSD adjusting module. The receiving unit receives a video signal. The processing unit is coupled to the receiving unit and processes the video signal to generate a pixel signal. The OSD unit generates an OSD signal. The OSD adjusting module, coupled to the processing unit and the OSD unit, compares the OSD signal with the pixel signal to generate a comparison result, and selectively adjusts the OSD signal according to the comparison result.

Abstract: A display control apparatus is applied to generate an interactive object mark on a display apparatus to enable a user to select the interactive object in a display frame via a numeric controller. The display control apparatus includes a content receiving module, for receiving a display control data; a display content processing module, for generating a display frame and display frame position information according to the display contend data; an interactive object selecting module, for determining a target interactive object according to the position information and an interactive object selecting rule; an on-screen display (OSD) module, for generating an interactive object mark corresponding to the target interactive block; and a frame output control module, for combining the display frame and the interactive object mark to output a combined frame to the display apparatus.

Abstract: A method for changing power states of a computer sends a shutdown event to all running applications before the computer goes to sleep to prevent data loss in a sleep state of the computer. Furthermore, the method stores a system memory image into a flash memory before the computer goes to the sleep state. Moreover, the method restores the system memory image from the flash memory to the system memory when the computer exit the sleep state to come back the work state.

Abstract: Systems and methods for packet forward control. The system comprises a plurality of ports and a processing module configured to receive a packet. The processing module comprises a resource management module and a forward control module. The resource management module detects whether congestion occurs on at least one specific port among the ports. The forward control module determines whether the specific port comprises a predetermined port within the ports, and if so, forwards the packet to at least one of the ports excepting the predetermined port.

Abstract: A television (TV) receiver includes a wireless module, a database, a user identification module and a channel selecting module. The wireless module receives a wireless signal carrying an identification (ID) data of a specific user. The database stores channel selecting information corresponding to a plurality of users. The user identification module retrieves channel selecting information corresponding to the specific user from the database according to the ID data of the specific user. The channel selecting module selects a channel according to the channel selecting information corresponding to the specific user. An associated TV system and TV control method are also provided.

Abstract: A multimedia system and associated control method is provided. The multimedia system includes a remote control, a display device and a multimedia signal generator. A control method of the multimedia system includes steps of transmitting a remote control signal to the display device by the remote control, transmitting a local control signal associated with the remote control signal to the multimedia signal generator, generating an operation command by the multimedia signal generator in response to the local control signal, and executing the operation command by the multimedia signal generator.

Abstract: A music data processing method applied to an electronic apparatus includes obtaining a time data; retrieving a partial music data from an input music data according to the time data; and performing a pre-end-play processing on the partial music data to output an output music data. With the pre-end-play processing performed, the output music data is substantially different from the partial music data.

Abstract: The invention provides a method for moving a cursor applied in a display apparatus, wherein the movement of the cursor and the selection of the target are achieved by pressing the Arabic numeral buttons on a remote controller by the user, so that a simple and direct operation is provided. The method according to the invention includes: in response to the first control command, displaying a plurality of first sub-regions on the display apparatus; in response to a second control command, selecting one of the first sub-regions; and moving the cursor to the selected first sub-region.

Abstract: The invention provides a communication apparatus which includes a look-up table, a receiving/transmitting module, and a processing module. The processing module is electrically connected to the look-up table and the receiving/transmitting module respectively. The look-up table stores a plurality of controlling messages and first phone numbers. Each controlling message corresponds to one of the first phone numbers. The receiving/transmitting module receives an incoming call including a second phone number. The processing module determines if the second phone number matches one of the first phone numbers, and if yes, the processing module generates information on the basis of the controlling message corresponding to the matched first phone number, and according to the second phone number, transmits the information through the receiving/transmitting module.

Abstract: In a multimedia playing device, a type of a TV program included in a received multimedia signal is determined by analyzing various kinds of channel information or image characteristics included in the multimedia signal. When an automatic audio adjusting mode is activated, an appropriated audio mode for the type is retrieved from an audio mode database to play the multimedia signal. The automatic audio adjusting mode of the multimedia playing device allows better flexibility for a viewer in choosing an audio mode. Therefore, the observer is able to choose between a predetermined audio mode of the received multimedia signal and a preferred audio mode meeting needs of the viewer in listening to the played multimedia signal.

Abstract: A safety syringe device includes a barrel, a needle unit connected to an end of the barrel, a plunger movably inserted into the passage, a stopper mounted to the tubular portion extending from the plunger and out from the stopper. The needle unit has a connection member received in the barrel and the needle cannula is connected to a first end of the connection member. A tube is located at a center of the connection member and an annular recess is defined between the tube and a wall of the second end of the connection member. The tube is engaged with the recess of the tubular portion on the plunger and the flange is engaged with the annular recess so as to connect the plunger and the connection member. Therefore, the connection member and the needle cannula are pulled into the barrel when the plunger is pulled backward.

Abstract: A safety syringe device includes a barrel having a passage defined therethrough and an engaging space is defined in the passage which has a tapered inner periphery and is located close to an end of the barrel. A connection member is inserted into the barrel and engaged with the engaging space. A part of the connection member extends out from an opening of the end of the barrel so as to be connected with a needle hub. The connection member is a tapered member which has an oval recess. A plunger has a stopper connected to an end thereof and an insertion extends from the stopper. A maximum diameter of the insertion is 85% to 95% of an inner diameter of the barrel. The insertion is engaged with the oval recess and expands the oval recess to securely connect the insertion and the connection member.

Abstract: A plunger of a syringe characterized by a hook unit formed integrally at the front end of the stopper of thereof. The hook unit comprises a central rod and a push wing extended outwardly from a lateral wall of the central rod. The push wing can be attached to the central rod by a lateral force, which is urged during an insertion process, so that the hook unit will be inserted into a receptacle formed at the rear end of the needle hub in the axial direction. The receptacle has an entrance hole and a cavity lager then the hole, whereby the flexible push wing will be extended again after the unit is in the cavity, forming a locked configuration. As the plunger is pulled back, the needle mount will be pulled into the needle barrel accordingly, achieving a function of self destruction.
