  • Publication number: 20230262754
Abstract: Methods, systems, nodes, and devices for wireless communication are described. The method may include a first network node (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) receiving a first message that indicates a first preamble and transmitting a random access request message indicative of a request by the first network node for repetition based transmission of a second message. In response to the random access request, the first network node may receive a random access response message including an indication that the second message is to be transmitted with repetition and transmit the second message in accordance with repetition.

  • Patent number: 11729050
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify one or more radio frequency (RF) spectrum bands for full-duplex communications, and may signal an indication of the UE's capability to support full-duplex communications for each RF spectrum band. The UE may further receive one or more configurations for full-duplex communications, which, in some examples, may be based on the UE's indicated capabilities. As an example, the UE may identify a guard band configuration for full-duplex communications, where the guard band configuration may be based on one or more aspects of resources used for the full-duplex communications. In other cases, the UE may identify a transmission hopping or antenna switching configuration for full-duplex communications. In any case, the UE may communicate with a base station in accordance with the one or more configurations and the UE's capabilities.

  • Patent number: 11728945
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a user equipment (UE) may perform uplink reference signal bundling for access link communications and transmit sidelink communications using time or frequency division multiplexed resources. The UE may determine to drop or to transmit a sidelink communication based on a relationship with multiple instances of an uplink reference signal that are to maintain phase continuity. The UE may drop a sidelink communication when a time duration between two instances of the uplink reference signal is less than or equal to a time threshold value, and may transmit the sidelink communication when the time duration exceeds the time threshold value. In frequency division multiplexed cases, the UE may set a transmission power for each instance of the uplink reference signal, and the sidelink communication may use a remaining amount of power.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A receiving device (such as a user equipment (UE)) may receive from a transmitting device (such as a base station), a configuration of full duplex communication resources for a set of slots. The receiving device may receive a pre-emption indication identifying that at least a portion of the full duplex communication resources in one or more slots of the set of slots is unavailable for communication, and may determine a remaining portion of the full duplex communication resources in the one or more slots based on the received pre-emption indication. The receiving device may then communicate with the transmitting device using the remaining portion of the full duplex communication resources.

  • Patent number: 11722170
Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a UE to determine whether phase continuity is to be maintained for one or more uplink transmissions when the UE is configured with a frequency-hopping with zero frequency offset. In one aspect, a UE receives, from a network entity, an indication of frequency hopping with zero frequency offset. The UE determines whether phase continuity is to be applied to UL transmissions based on the indication of the frequency hopping with zero frequency offset. The UE transmits, to the network entity, at least one uplink channel with no phase continuity based on the determination to not apply phase continuity to the UL transmissions.

  • Patent number: 11723021
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may be configured to transmit two or more consecutive transmissions that may be used for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling. If criteria for DMRS bundling are not satisfied, the UE may generate dummy data to transmit during the skipped configured grant occasion, and may maintain phase continuity across the skipped configured grant occasion and any other PUSCHs in a set of uplink transmissions. In some examples, the UE may deprioritize DMRS bundling for sets of PUSCHs during which a PUSCH is to be skipped. If criteria for DMRS bundling are not satisfied, the UE may not maintain phase continuity across the set of PUSCHs, and may refrain from transmitting any data during the CG-PUSCH occasion.

  • Patent number: 11706737
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit multiple repetitions of a paging early indication (PEI) signal to a user equipment (UE) to indicate that the UE is to receive paging signaling in a paging occasion. In some cases, a PEI occasion for transmitting a PEI repetition may have a scheduling conflict. For example, a PEI occasion may collide with other downlink signaling. A UE may implement techniques to resolve scheduling conflicts or collisions for PEI repetitions. For example, the UE may be configured to receive either colliding PEI signaling or colliding downlink signaling based on priorities of the signaling. Additionally, or alternatively, PEI signaling may be shifted (e.g., delayed) until after the downlink signaling ends. In some cases, a UE may be configured with a subset of blind decoding hypotheses for PEI decoding.
