  • Publication number: 20230138642
Abstract: Bandwidth part (BWP) configurations supporting various communication approaches (e.g., full duplex and/or half duplex operations) are described. Full duplex (FD) frequency-based BWP configurations may, for example, be configured as a subset of defined BWP resources for supporting full duplex operation by base stations and/or user equipments (UEs). Usable bandwidth of a FD frequency-based BWP configuration may be selected from half duplex frequency-based BWPs in legacy BWPs. Bandwidths of usable BWPs for a FD frequency-based BWP configuration may be selected so as to be non-overlapping in frequency. Transition between configurations and modes (e.g., between full duplex frequency-based BWP configurations, between half duplex and full duplex modes, etc.) may be managed to avoid periods in which a communication device cannot perform any uplink or downlink transmissions due to switching between defined BWP configurations, or otherwise reduces BWP switching time.

  • Publication number: 20230137456
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, BS determines a channel state information (CSI) report field priority-based security scheme, and transmits CSI report field priority-based security scheme to UE. UE determines bit availability in CI (e.g., UCI or SCI or MAC CE) for transmission of a CSI report. UE configures, based on the CSI report field priority-based security scheme and the CI bit availability, the CSI report with first field(s) (e.g., secured with key) being secured via a key and second field(s) being unsecured (e.g., not secured with any key or secured with weaker key below strength threshold). UE transmits the CSI report to BS.

  • Patent number: 11635485
Abstract: Disclosed are various techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, the time that a user equipment (UE) spends on performing positioning reference signal (PRS) measurements is reduced, by lengthening the PRS measurement period (P) and/or by reducing the PRS symbol duration (K). These modifications may be performed by the UE or by a location management server or other network node and may be made in consideration of the UE's mobility status and other environmental or operating conditions of the UE. In an aspect, a network entity may determine P and K to be used by the UE, and may indicate, to the UE, the P and the K to be used by the UE for measuring at least one PRS. The UE may then use the P and the K for measuring at least one PRS.

  • Publication number: 20230117511
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE), that is configured for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling, may receive a control message that schedules first and second sets of repetitions of an uplink transmission. The UE may determine a phase coherency configuration to be applied for DMRS transmissions corresponding to each set of repetitions. The phase coherency configuration may be determined based on a phase coherency capability of the UE, and the phase coherency configuration may specify that phase coherency is to be maintained for one or more of the first set of repetitions separate from one or more of the second set of repetitions. The UE may transmit the first set of repetitions with a first set of demodulation reference signals and the second set of repetitions with a second set of demodulation reference signals in accordance with the phase coherency configuration.

  • Publication number: 20230116090
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Devices may synchronize parameters associated with an encryption key to avoid a key mismatch. In a first example, a transmitter and a receiver may each update a respective parameter at each transmission occasion associated with semi-statically allocated resources, regardless of whether signaling is transmitted in the transmission occasion. In a second example, the transmitter and the receiver may each update the respective parameter based on a slot count, rather than at each transmission occasion. In a third example, the transmitter may indicate a value of a transmitter parameter to the receiver, for example in control signaling or in the signaling in each transmission occasion. In a fourth example, the receiver may be enabled to identify a skipped transmission occasion The receiver may be enabled with a feedback process to indicate the receiver recognized the associated transmission occasion was skipped.
