  • Publication number: 20230104972
Abstract: Techniques related to uplink transmission repetitions are disclosed. Some aspects of the disclosure relate to devices and methods for wireless communications that include transmitting or receiving repetitions of uplink transmissions. In one example, a user equipment (UE) and a scheduling entity can receive/transmit an indication of a repetition count from a scheduling entity; receive/transmit a resource allocation for a set of a plurality of slots on a first carrier; and transmit/receive repetitions of an uplink transmission on a subset of the plurality of slots on the first carrier. Here, the first carrier is paired with a second carrier and separated from the second carrier in frequency. Also, the UE operates in a half duplex communication, and a quantity of the repetitions transmitted is based on the repetition count. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

  • Publication number: 20230108535
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may report, to a base station, a capability of the UE to support interleaving physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) messages. The base station may schedule two or more PUSCH transmissions having temporally overlapping durations based on the reported capability of the UE, and the UE may transmit interleaved PUSCH messages scheduled by the base station. In some cases, demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling may be enabled for PUSCH transmissions. A UE may be incapable of both performing DMRS bundling for PUSCH transmissions and transmitting interleaved PUSCH transmissions. In some case, a UE may disable DMRS bundling, drop a scheduled PUSCH transmission, transmit PUSCH messages sequentially (e.g., not interleaved), and/or indicate an error to the base station if the UE receives uplink grants scheduling two or more PUSCH transmissions having temporally overlapping durations.

  • Publication number: 20230109618
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of one or more sets of time domain resources for a multi-slot transmission occasion that spans multiple slots. The UE may select, for one or more codeblocks of a communication on the multi-slot transmission occasion, non-contiguous coded bits of a plurality of coded bits on a per slot basis for each of the multiple slots. The UE may interleave, for each of the multiple slots, the non-contiguous coded bits to form one or more interleaved encoded bit sequences of the one or more codeblocks. The UE may transmit the communication including the one or more interleaved encoded bit sequences. Numerous other aspects are described.

In some aspects, the target base station may determine the timing advance using an uplink reference signal of the UE. In some aspects, the UE may report a timing difference between the target base station and the source base station, and the source cell may determine a timing advance based at least in part on the timing difference.

  • Publication number: 20230090447
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for identifying resources in which to transmit feedback information in a slot in an absence of demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) in the slot. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify a symbol in which to transmit feedback information in a slot in an absence of DMRSs in the slot based on a reference symbol. The reference symbol may be a symbol in the slot previously configured to include DMRSs, or a symbol in a previous slot configured to include DMRSs, or a first symbol in the slot, or a first symbol of a set of symbols in the slot allocated for an uplink data transmission in the slot. A relation between the symbol in which to transmit the feedback information in the slot and the reference symbol may be defined at the UE.

  • Publication number: 20230077869
Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a base station to provide RACH configuration(s) indicating RACH occasions which correspond to wake up occasions of a base station according to a power savings mode of the base station. The base station sends one or more RACH configurations indicating ROs to a UE, and then monitors the ROs associated with the power savings mode. The UE determines the ROs associated with the power savings mode, and sends a wake up signal to the base station in at least one of the determined ROs. The base station obtains the wake up signal from the UE in at least one of the monitored ROs. Here, the wake up signal comprises a RACH message. As a result, network power consumption may be optimized through designed configurations which allow a UE to wake up a sleeping base station via a RACH message.
