Abstract: An information handling system implemented as a convertible notebook may include a first assembly, a second assembly hingedly coupled to the first assembly, a magnet housed in the first assembly, a giant magnetoresistance sensor housed in the second assembly, a Hall effect sensor housed in the second assembly, and a management controller communicatively coupled to the giant magnetoresistance sensor and the Hall effect sensor, and configured to, based on a first signal received from the giant magnetoresistance sensor and a second signal received from the Hall effect sensor, determine a position of the first assembly relative to the second assembly.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to physiological sensing in a wearable device. Aspects include generating a multi-faceted feedback for a user. Generating the multi-faceted feedback includes generating a baseline physiological sampling schedule for a user, generating a quality-aware feedback of the user, generating a user-state-aware feedback of the user, and generating a context-aware feedback of the user. Aspects also include generating an adjusted physiological sampling schedule for the user based at least in part upon the multi-faceted feedback.

Abstract: A water-based protective film which is largely immune to static electricity includes 60 to 70 parts of a water-based polyurethane by weight, 12 to 17 parts of an emulsion dispersant by weight, 3 to 8 parts of an antistatic agent by weight, and 10 to 20 parts of water by weight. A preparation method of the water-based protective film is also disclosed, the water-based protective film, which is in a form of slurry before drying, can be applied to an object surface by spraying, by immersion, or by brushing.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for producing bulk silicon carbide and producing silicon carbide coatings are provided herein. The method includes feeding a mixture of silicon carbide and ceramic into a plasma sprayer. The plasma generates a stream towards a substrate forming a bulk material or optionally a coating on the substrate such as an article upon contact therewith. In embodiments, the substrate can be removed, leaving a component part fabricated from bulk silicon carbide.

Abstract: The disclosed subject matter relates to resist compositions comprising a phenolic resin component, a photoactive 2,1,5-diazonaphthoquinonesulfonate component (PAC), a solvent component that do not include or require the use of an added photo acid generator (PAG). The PAC is a free PAC, a coupled PAC (PACb) or a combination thereof that includes a substituted or unsubstituted 2,1,5-DNQ material or compound onto which a substituted or unsubstituted 2,1,5-DNQ material is appended that, when UV exposed, do not form sulfonic acid. The phenolic resin component is a Novolak derivative in which some or all of the free hydroxy groups are protected with an acid cleavable acetal moiety which can include a PACb moiety. The disclosed subject matter also relates to the methods of using the present compositions in either in thick for thin film photoresist device manufacturing methodologies.

Abstract: The present disclosure is in the field of plant breeding. The disclosure provides methods for breeding corn plants having a brachytic trait using marker-assisted selection. The disclosure further provides brachytic germplasm, markers associated with a brachytic trait for introgressing the trait into elite germplasm in a breeding program. This disclosure also provides brachytic or dwarf elite corn varieties having yield equal to or higher than conventional non-brachytic corn varieties.

A first virtual machine management module replicates data of a write IO request of a first virtual machine to generate replication data, and the write IO request is configured to request a data write operation to a disk of the first virtual machine. The first virtual machine management module transmits the replication data to a second virtual machine management module while the first virtual machine is running. The second virtual machine management module receives the replication data and controls or performs a data write operation to a disk of the second virtual machine of the second virtual machine management module according to the replication data. When the first virtual machine is paused, the second virtual machine management module performs a snapshot operation on the disk of the second virtual machine to generate snapshot data.

The present invention can reduce an amount of components for assembly to reduce manufacturing cost and difficulty in assembly.
