Abstract: A battery box includes a housing, a positive electrode member, and a negative electrode member. The housing includes a receiving space in a side thereof for receiving at least one battery therein. The receiving space defines two slots at opposite ends thereof. The positive electrode member is mounted to the housing and includes two positive electrode terminals each located at a corresponding one of the slots of the housing, respectively. The negative electrode member is mounted to the housing and includes two negative electrode terminals extending into the receiving space of the housing and each at a side of a corresponding slot of the housing.

Abstract: A heat sink includes a heat-conductive base comprising a top surface; and a plurality of combined fins extending up from the top surface of the heat-conductive base, every two adjacent fins being spaced from each other with a passage formed therebetween, and the passage having an air inlet at one side of the heat sink, and an air outlet at an opposite side of the heat sink, wherein a top surface of each of the fins slopes down from the middle portion to the air inlet in a streamlined fashion, and from the middle portion toward the air outlet there is steeply sloping portion leading to a gently sloping portion terminating at a steeply sloping end surface of each of the fins. Resistance of the airflow is minimized, and speed of the heat dissipation is enhanced. Therefore, this aerodynamic design allows better airflow through the heat sink.

Abstract: A fixture for testing a mid-plane of a blade server includes a base board, a fixture unit and a carrier enclosure. The fixture unit is fixed on the base board, the fixture unit includes a receiving location for mounting the mid-plane thereon. The carrier enclosure is slideably attached on the base board and docked with the mid-plane. The fixture for testing a mid-plane of a blade server uses two separated modules to assist to test the mid-plane, there is no need to remove all modules from the blade server, whereupon simplifies the attachment and removing mid-plane procedure.

Abstract: A TWAIN network image data transmission system and method are applicable in image data transmission between a host and a versatile business machine. The TWAIN network image data transmission is achieved via a network using HTTP. After the versatile business machine retrieves the image data, an image data hyperlink embedded hypertext is generated. When an image data retrieving command is sent from the host, the hypertext is transmitted to the host via the network and a communication interface with hypertext transport protocol.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a printed paper identification system for identifying whether a printed paper is a falsified document. The system comprises a paper passage slot and a propeller for driving the printed paper through the passage slot, an identification mechanism having a plurality of light sources and a detecting device installed at two opposite sides of the passage slot, and a controller for actuating the propeller to carry the printed paper through the passage slot, having the detecting device to detect the lights emitted from the light sources and through a predetermined area of the printed paper and generate a correspondent detected signal for each of the light sources, forming one characteristic signal by using the detected signals according to a predetermined procedure, and comparing the characteristic signal with at least one pre-stored identification signal to determine whether the printed paper is a falsified document.
